I selected banding over VSG or GBS because appetite is my biggest struggle and I like the idea of an adjustable, post-surgical option for weight loss. I am 204 pounds and 5' 2". I am hoping to lose a minimum of 80 pounds post surgery for a goal of 124 #. I am being more mindful of my relationship to carbs and fast food and have stayed away from both for the last several days (and likely for the rest of my life). I am 48 years old and thinking that I should have done this many years ago but no time like the present so here I go!Questions for the post-banded on this forum. Were you hungry post-surgery? Did the very limited sized liquid meals quell your appetite and did it keep hunger away for hours at a time? This is where I struggle as I am frequently hungry and I literally GULP my food which I know is coming to an abrupt end in my life. How much water are you able to drink at a time post-op?
