I wonder if anyone in the UK is able to help answer my question.I had PIP implants fitted on the NHS. I don't read the news or papers so wasn't aware of all the PIP scandal until a couple of years ago. I had no idea what make of implants I had in me, so decided to call the hospital which is when I was informed they were PIP. I cannot believe they had not contacted me! Anyway, they did a scan and it came to light one had ruptured and I had silicon in my armpit lymph nodes. I was offered for the implants to be removed, or removed and replaced, and/or the lymph nodes too. I opted for removal and replacement. I am just wondering if I am eligble for any compensation and if so what should I do? I am just concerned that I could get symptoms years down the line. I do get some odd symptoms now, but have no idea if they could be related to the silicone in my lymph nodes.
