Hi, I had rhinoplasty around three weeks ago and now I have mixed feelings. I know my nose is still very swollen so I can't make a final judgement. My question is what was your ideal nose and did you achieve it with rhinoplasty? I could never imagine how my nose would look after and I did not have an ideal as such. I mean there are few people whose noses I like, but obviously not every nose suits every face so I try to steer clear from ' I want her nose'.
During my consultation the surgeon asked me if I wanted a straight nose or a little nose with a bit of upturned tip ( like cute, doll nose) . I chose to have the straight nose ( the Greek nose type, straight, but in no means little or cute). Now, sometimes I hesitate. Should I have opted for a tiny button nose? Would it be better? My original nose was a very dominating one, long, droopy and humped. Because of that, I was scared suddenly getting a little, upturned nose. My surgeon was being neutral, saying it is my choice. And it was. My rhino result is certainly better than my old nose, but I still feel like my nose is bigger than normal noses. Although my family ( the people who know) say it looks great, I still haven't met the rest of my friends as I'm working away at the moment. The job is new, so my colleagues didn't know me before. So I wanted to also ask, do you reckon my new nose is still too big/long or is it ok looking? Not that I don't trust my family, but I thought if I get a few more honest ( please be honest ) opinions I will get a clear picture.
