Is it normal to get a blister (air bubble) when doing the keloid rubber band removal?

It's been like two days since I've started the rubber band removal method and my ear isn't purple. My ear is just red and had a blister (air bubble) on it. I was curious and tried to investigate what the blister was because I was so confused on why my ear looked like that and I ended up accidently poping the blister and some liquid came out. Should I still continue the method or not?
