Lasering for a cover up?
Hi there,I just got a tattoo that unfortunately I hate. It's professional and actually really well done. It's not a bad tattoo, it just isn't a good fit, and it was an impulse tattoo. Also, within a week of getting it a friend committed suicide and now I have channeled all that emotional trauma into my hatred toward the tattoo. Long story short, it can't stay here, and I don't want to "grow into" loving it and having it represent some kind of poetic thing about my friend. It's got to go. It's on my thigh just above the knee and I like the spot and the size just fine. So what I really want is a cover up with something better, but not giant or hideous or flamboyant. All my other tatts are black, so I don't want a big colorful coverup. The tattoo is a simple 2"x2" and only black outline. How many sessions do you think it would take to fade it out enough to cover it up? I don't have a lot of money but my body is worth the investment. That said, I don't plan on spending $1000+ because I'm not trying to get rid of the whole thing, but I do need to consider the costs pretty realistically.I know a dermatologist can give me a proper quote, etc. but I'd like to see what you guys think so I kind of have a rough idea of what to expect. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!!
