How many of you are a larger at 3 months than expected?
Well, I'm about 3 months out from my surgery. I had a follow up last week with my surgeon and I asked whether I was still a bit swollen. She said very little which was the answer I anticipated. I told her I'm measuring a 36DD, which is different than the target of a C. I was very polite and tried not to act disappointed, even though I am. She said my before pictures are available for me to view and I must be a C size cup with some manufactures. I know many of you say that bra sizes vary by manufacturer and I don't dispute this fact. However, I tried on all my 36DDD bras (lillyette and walcoal) which were a tiny bit small before surgery and now they fit perfectly. I'm so happy I didn't discard anything, but at the same time I had expected so much more.I told my surgeon during the consult I wanted to be a C, and we had the same discussion moments before surgery. Also, right in the recovery area after the surgery, she came by to visit to tell me all went well and I will be a C. I know it is not a precise science, but I expected a bit more. Honestly, if she admitted that the outcome wasn't exactly what she wanted to deliver I'd feel better than her saying that I look better and can view those old photos. I feel like I came out with a lift and not a real reduction.I can't remember precisely but I think about 325-350 grams were removed from each breast. This seems to be on the low end of the range posted here. Further surgery for cosmetic reasons is not in my future and I will accept the outcome. I just need to complain;)
