Specifically, for those who have undergone a corrective surgery for an underbite by having your top jaw brought forward, how did you find that the surgery changed your face?Do you feel like there is a rigidness in the underlying bone structure? I.e., can you feel and notice the points where the jaw bone was cut and brought forward? I kinda imagine that this surgery would make your face feel somewhat bumpy when pressing your fingers against your mouth. Maybe you don't notice it from just looking though. Did your nose become much more pointy? I may be undergoing this type of surgery but in my case my top jaw wouldn't be moved very far forward. Maybe only 3 mm or so. I don't think this is a big concern for me, but still please feel free to share your experience. How did the inside of your mouth change for the long term? Were your gums negatively affected? Did the tissues connecting your cheeks to your jaw heal 100% back to 'normal' after being cut and then stitched together again? Thanks in advance for your responses!
