After many years of talking about getting a breast reduction, I finally took action and decided to consult with a plastic surgeon. My major concern was that my insurance would not cover the cost and there was no way that I could afford the out-of-pocket expense. My doctor said I was definitely a candidate and in less than 24 hours my insurance approved the procedure. Friday, July 8, 2016, is my big day. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. The real downer with all of this has been my husband. He has tried everything under the sun to discourage me. I'm 61 years old, this is my body and I am doing this for myself but his lack of support has really hurt and disappointed me. My biggest concern is if I will need help and how much, after my surgery. Have any of you gone through a similar situation and what did you do?
