and another 20 pounds over two months. By 1 year I had lost down to 140. I had the surgery due to chronic back pain and already had one fusion and laminectomy before my bypass. Then had a car accident in 20007 fractured myupper right arm and wound up having to have another fusion in my low back. II was still maintaining my weight loss. Then 6 months after the fusion I had developed an ovarian abccess that started leaking and I got septic and nearly died. I was in hospital 11 days They told me not to eat at one point because the were going to drain it. I was really confused they kept bringing food but i did not eat because they had told me not to eat but they kept bring in trays. They finally did procedure and i started eating on day 8 or 9. I wound up losing 30 more pounds six weeks later I had to have an internal hernia repair and came close to losing half my intetestines....I lost another 5 pounds. I went to North Carolina and staed with my daughter and managed to gain back 15 pounds so I then was at 120 pounds. I gradually got up to 140 again which felt like a good weight. I felt horrible at 105 pounds so was glad to gain it back. I then had apron surgery where they removed 12 pounds of skin and fat I then leveled offf at 125 pounds and was content, but I have had several health issues and lost both my parents to cancers 6 months apart. I took care of my mom here at home for the last three months she was alive. Then three months later lost my boyfriend of nie years to cancer and 10 days later lost my best friend in her sleep. Between the health problems i had and grief i lost down to 116 pounds. Then while trying to get thru my lossess i felll and fracture my left femur and 2 months after losing my best friiend,. A year since fracture I had hardware removed and I weighed 103. I feel like skeleton. I have seen my medical dr on a regular basis and go to a pain clinic for my back. My weight fluctuates between 103 and 109. I feel like crap and would like to get back up to 120-125. I know I would feel better I am eating like a horse and make sure I get plenty of protein and eat things high in calories. If I had eaten as much as as what I am eating now before the bypass I would probably four hundred pounds. The Dr doesn't seem concerned about my weight but look terrible have no energy and cant figure out how to put on 15 to 20 pounds. Being fat was bad but looking like an anorexic isn't any better Has anyone had this kind of problem and any suggestions to gain weight. I want to feel healthy and have a few curves but mainly want to feel and look healthy again. Appreciate any advice or feedback Gail
