Emotionally preparing for surgery?

6 years ago I had a successful rhinoplasty procedure, but I am unhappy with the tip of my nose and recently went in for a revision consultation. For some reason the consultation put me on edge. I have wanted this for a long time but I am now wondering if the look I want is actually achievable without damaging my profile (doctor wants to lower the tip slightly and correct a hanging columella to give the tip a 90 degree angle). I realize that I need to make another appointment and discuss this with him, but I feel like a crazy person when I try to verbalize my ideas or show him photos. He offered me an appointment this upcoming week, which would have been best for my schedule, but I am so anxious I am considering putting the surgery off.I guess this question is for patients more than doctors; how did you know you were ready? What did it take for you to have confidence in your choice of procedure?
