From what I've heard about explant surgeries, it doesn't sound like its routine to repair (stitch up) the chest muscle that has been cut to place the implant. I've heard NOT repairing this chest muscle will leave your chest with a deformity when you raise your arms or flex your pec muscles. Is this true? During your explant, did your surgeon repair your chest muscle or did he leave it alone? What was your result? Not sure if I should specifically request that the chest muscle be fixed during the explant.
