I am a 50 y/o, 5' 3" 146lb. I am very active. I am an ER nurse and I work out at the gym approx 4 days a week doing various high intensity classes and training. In addition, I have a dog that I walk a minimum of 1.5 miles on the days I'm off. I am concerned about the down time and also the post-op depression that several have described. Anyone else have suggestions? Anyone else very active pre-reduction? How did you handle the down time and how long before you were up and about. I was hoping to perhaps get back to a cycling class in about a week and a half. Is that doable? I know I will not be able to do high impact running or jumping and weight lifting for approx 4-6 weeks.
