UK folks have to sign a legal consent form to allow Surgeons to take photos. PrivateĀ Hospitals state you don't need to consent to have photos if you do not wish. However, the surgeons all want photos (signing away my legal right not to). There is no overwhelming medical/ technical reason for mandatory photos for a 30 minute chin implant procedure. This website appears obsessed with photos. "questions with photos get priority" I have a clinical need. I also have a privacy need backed by law. I understand why irreversible or complex surgery requires photos for surgeon reference during the operation. facelift -YES, Rhinoplasty - YES, Eyelids -YES, Liposuction -YES, Chin Implant - Not needed. Some surgeries require artistry. I posit chin implants do not. After the implant is decided upon, it's basically in or out, no artistry involved or photographic reference needed during surgery for this small procedure. A chin implant procedure is totally reversible in 15 minutes. Tattoos and Teeth whitening take longer to do and Tattoos arguably less reversible. There are a great many categories of people who quite simply cannot have photographs taken. How do surgeons deal with such situations? for example; CIA, FBI, DEA, Secret Service, MI5, MI6, Special Branch, Anti terrorist undercover officers, witness protection folks, victim protection folks, folks with phobia of being photographed,.....or just simply people who wish for privacy and no photographs as it their legislative right.I have a clinical need for chin normalcy, this isn't beautification, it's a measurable deficiency. I also require privacy which isĀ underpinned by legislation. Why are surgeons making this a difficult situation? No one should be forced or coerced to do something they don't want to do (photos). Please help.
