Breasts removed and reconstruction 26 years ago. Has anyone had insurance cover new safer implants because of age?

I have the MEME silicone implants that had a fuzzy coating outside that was suppose to discourage contraction. Shortly after my surgery they pulled them off the market because of cancer concerns in test animals and was part of the class action law suit. I was advised to watch for any problems have an annual mamogram. As far as I know I don't have any ruptures and while I have joint pain and auto immune type pain it has not been severe. I had a consult and put in for a preauthorization to have them replaced. Because of the age of the implant and type I feel as if I am on borrowed time for a real problem. Just explantation is not an option because I have no natural breasts left. Now I understand to be sure the implants are intact an MRI should be done. Has anyone had a similar scenario or have any suggestions of info to included with my appeal. I was shocked that it would be denied at all given the advanced age of the implants and comments from everyone I spoke with at the insurance and the plastic surgeons office.
