Breast Implant Revision in Edmonton-Recommendations and Advice?
- Last updated: 9 months ago
I am going to have a breast implant revision done. I would like to go to Edmonton as it is closest for me. I am willing to go farther if there are some really good reviews for someone outside of Edmonton, but it is so hard to decide. I have read so much, on so many doctors! I thought about Banff, and Calgary as well, as I have seen some great reviews there as well. Could you please share your recommendations and advice with me? I will tell my story below, this is my second BA and I want to be very sure of my decision this time.My first BA was 7 years ago. I was originally a small B and went to a larger C with 325 CC under the muscle, saline textured. My one breast was slightly bigger before surgery, the doctor and I both thought that the difference would not be enough to warrant two different sized implants...we were wrong. I have suffered from severe asymmetry for the last 7 years and that is the reason I am going in for a revision. I thought for sure that I had a capsular contracture, but when I went in to see-the doctor said it was not. I never had the time or money to go back in, now that I do I really want to make sure I take the time to make the right decisions this time, and I would love any advice. I want to go larger, around 500, variation in the second breast to correct asymmetry, if the doctor thinks it would allow for my body type. 118 lbs, just over 5 feet. Silicone this time, without a doubt. I was originally under the muscle, and am not sure if I even have the choice now? I suppose the right doctor would know what the proper options are for my body, and my asymmetry. I have been waiting for this for so long, it is not easy dealing with asymmetry day after day for so many years. I would include pictures, but I have a fear of someone recognizing me as I have some tell tale skin markings. It is the typically asymmetric photo, one large and low, one small and high :(Thank-you to everyone in advance!
