Hello, I am a 30 year old African American woman with traction alopecia. Ive had this since I was a child, as my scalp has already scarred over. On both my left and right temple area, theres is about 1 x 4 of baldness. I would like to know my best option for surgery, as I would also like a forehead reduction. Is it possible to lower the hairline and cover this much hair loss; or would I need both the reduction and hair grafting? Thank you.
I am considering a hairline lowering procedure to reduce my forehead by at least 1.5 inches. What are the chances of a linear hyper tropic scar developing at the suture site? I obviously don't want an obvious scar. Will occlusive dressings like tegaderm help to prevent this? And at what point can I start this? I am African American if that helps. Also for physicians that specialize in this
I have a very high forehead that makes my head look long and was wondering if there is a procedure out there that can reduce it. I heard about hairline transplants and some type of reverse brow lift procedure. Can you tell me what procedures are out there to correct this problem? Also I'm not sure if I'm showing signs of a receeding or if my high forehead just gives the illusion my hairline is receeding. But anyways i wear a size 8 hat so my head is large dont know if that plays a factor.
I am an African-American female thinking of getting an FUT to lower my hairline. I normally wear my hair in a Blow dried/flat ironed state and Im wondering when I would be able to blow dry or flat iron the transplanted hairs following the procedure?
