Procedures I'm known for
Total years in practice: 15
“I take a very comprehensive, minimally invasive approach to rejuvenation,” says Dr. Chesnut. “This often means focusing on the areas immediately around the area of concern, which allows us to achieve smaller, more natural changes that add up to a beautiful, global improvement that leaves no sign anything was done. This is in contrast to overdoing one procedure to try to make up for other areas that are also experiencing aging changes. That is not how we age—multiple aspects change together, and all of these small aspects should be addressed together.”
Dr. Chesnut received his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle and completed an internship in Medicine and Surgery at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Following that, he headed to the University of California in Los Angeles for a residency in dermatology, staying on to complete an integrated fellowship that blended dermatologic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, and plastic surgery. He left Los Angeles after fellowship to open his private practice in Spokane.
“At Clinic 5C, we focus on every aspect of the treatment experience—and every aspect of a person, from mental, spiritual, and internal health through anti-aging and aesthetic medicine,” says Dr. Chesnut. “We are truly cutting edge with our approaches and the use of regenerative medicine and physical modalities to improve overall health.”
Dr. Chesnut is a member of American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has won numerous national and international awards, including the Best Cosmetic Presenter Award at the Australiasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and an American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Future Leader. He’s also a member of the RealSelf Hall of Fame.
Dr. Chesnut lectures frequently at cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon meetings and has been published extensively in the medical literature. He is considered a foremost expert on the topic of facial aging.
“One of my core values is to have a spirit of innovation, and I am recognized internationally for this,” he says. “My goal is to optimize your health and aesthetic results via the simplest means possible—less is more.”
