I have published extensively in this area. When I'm not at my practice, I train surgeons and teach medical students at the University of Washington in this area of plastic surgery. This is in contrast to General Plastic Surgeons that are so called "Board Certified Plastic Surgeons" but the majority of their experience is in body and breast plastic surgery.

Now that we better understand the aging process of the face, how is a patient evaluated?
The most important aspect of a proper evaluation is understanding the patient’s concerns. Listening to the patient can properly guide and focus the evaluation. Though our overall goal is to achieve harmonious facial rejuvenation, each patient has different perspectives, needs, and expectations. This means that patients with very similar anatomic features, may want completely different surgical plans.
So first and foremost, Dr. Amadi questions the patient’s concerns: “What is bothering you the most? What are you unhappy with?”. Once that is fully appreciated, he then moves forward with his evaluation.

First and foremost, Dr Amadi is incredibly invested in his patients. Many surgeons are procedurally competent but don't have the time or interest for compassion. Dr Amadi is both technically skilled and genuinely considerate. Both his office staff and his surgical staff are equally lovely. I felt safe & comfortable from start to finish. Other providers were dismissive of my symptoms with thyroid eye disease but Dr. Amadi took me seriously enough to help me and my eyes are better now after the procedure. I appreciate that he went out of his way to help me.
My undereye hollows--not dark circles from being tired but shadows caused by the shape and position of the bones under my eyes--had always bothered me. I had tear trough filler 15 years ago which did nothing, and again on my 50th birthday, which I deeply regret because not only did it not fix the hollows, it caused puffiness and edema which was worse. This was followed by several attempts to dissolve the filler. I happened to see a new PA at my med spa to dissolve the filler.
