I spent 30 years of my life not being able to breathe out of my nose normally (my right nostril was almost complete blocked and my left was only marginally better). Every ENT I saw before Dr. Patel dismissed me or just pointed out the basic structural issues and made them seem insignificant. Dr. Patel looked at my CT scan for no more than 20 seconds and immediately pointed out numerous issues all the other doctors had missed. She's the only doctor I saw who made me feel like I was being heard and taken seriously. A month ago she performed a septoplasty, turbinate reduction, nasal valve repair, and polyp removal in my nose. Straight out of surgery I was already breathing completely and easily out of both nostrils, something that has NEVER happened in my life before. She was so kind and considerate, she made sure to go through everything with me before the surgery and answered all my questions, she reassured me when I was getting nervous and made me feel so safe. When I had some unexpected bleeding post-op she called me within the hour and advised me what to do, followed up the next day to see how I was doing, and called me again two days later to see how I was holding up. The surgery was quite literally life changing. I have never been able to breath this well and this clearly, I can finally sleep through the night without waking up every hour, I have more energy, I'm not constantly mouth breathing - it's amazing. I can't believe I lived 30 years barely being able to breathe through my nose, but I didn't even realize how bad it was until it was fixed! Breathing out of my nose no longer takes effort! I still can't believe how much better everything is now, it's like night and day. I'm so, so glad I saw her and had her as my surgeon. Dr. Patel, thank you so much!!
