I had a suspicious mole removed by Dr. Hughes. The procedure was painless and the Doctor and her assistant had me laughing the entire time. The scar is about 2 inches near my groin and you can hardly see it now. Ill be headed back to Dr. Hughes for future skin care needs for sure.

My 1st foto was incredible! I did not experience much discomfort, at all (did use a numbing lotion)but I don't have a high pain tolerance, so thought it would be worse.I am very fair and wanted to get rid of some darker sun spots (I already have freckles)...not only are they gone - my skin looks great! Highly recommend the procedure with a good doc and experienced technician.I absolutley love the results. I am Scots-Irish; fair, freckled and a redhead...and had no down time. It did make me look like I had very dark freckles, but nothing that foundation didn't tone down. After a week, all darkness is gone and my skin looks fabulous. Can't wait to go again - have my decolletage (sp) done as well!!

I'm a pretty frequent user of fillers, but hadn't tried Perlane; and had never had the cheeks done (apples). I went to a fantastic derm that did the Perlane today and I am amazed and  so pleased with the results. I only used one vial in the apples of my cheeks, and it took 10 years off my face. I didn't think I had that much volume loss, but man, did this little bit make an incredible difference. I would highly recommend this!

I had mild acne scarring on my cheeks and sun damage. I saw a few doctors and liked Dr. Allison Hughes in Mercer island the best. Her skin was perfect and she seemed so nice and caring. She did the active fx/deep fx laser on my face. I walked out of the office with my face looking like hamburger. I wasn't prepared for the awful recovery that was to come. I followed all her directions very carefully. After a few days I noticed that there were a few areas that didnt seem to be healing well. She assured me there was no problem and that everything was healing normally. I asked her if I should consult a plastic surgeon but she assured me again that there would be no scarring. The healing took months instead of a couple of weeks. I started taking anti-anxiety medication because I was so upset all the time. After all of this my face has some pretty bad scars. There is a very noticeable white line on my jaw and several areas where there is no pigment left. I asked to receive my money back and dr Hughes sent me to her I durance company and they denied my claim. I feel completely betrayed. I have a daily reminder of this every time I look in the mirror. I wish I would have known about other less invasive treatments like IPL for the dark spots and filler for the acne scars that were a little depressed into the skin. I think my request for my money back is very reasonable and am shocked that she is so heartless. I choose her as a doctor partly because of nice she was. What a mistake.

It has been 4 weeks since my Active FX treatment and I'm very happy with the results. The reduction in scarring on my cheeks is very good and that's what most people notice. The lines around the corners of my eyes are diminished and my face feels great. I still have keloidal scarring around my neck but even that is not as noticeable as it was. I had no expectations that the Active FX would dramatically change the keloids so I was OK with that outcome.  What was most remarkable to me about the healing process was how much better it was after I reached Day 4 - post treatment. I did not miss any work - had it done on a Friday afternoon and returned to work on Monday AM. I was still pretty red that week but it wasn't horrible (remember too that I'm a guy).  I've been very diligent about wearing sunscreen every day as I don't want to expose this fresh skin to the harmful rays. I think my skin is a bit more rosey in color than it was before but I actually like that look. It  gives my face a sun -kissed appearance. Anyway, I'm very happy with the results.
