I'm nervous to have more Botox injected, especially to my eyes since I've read much negative about it, including even more exaggerated under-eye crows feet.

The areas you are pointing to may be the points of entry of the needle used in the injections, but the actual injection of Botox&nbsp;would have been most likely some distance&nbsp;from those needle entry points.&nbsp; There are different ways of injecting and this second person appears to inject a little differently from your other injector.&nbsp; So you may not have any problems at all with your smile.&nbsp; I&nbsp;suggest waiting&nbsp;a couple&nbsp;weeks to see the full effects and return to your injector for evaluation if there are any problems.&nbsp;

I had my regular crows feet botox done yesterday by a different technician than usual. Usually I have three injections around the outer corner of my eye. She injected twice- one at the very outer corner by my orbital bone, and the second right outside my orbital on my upper cheek. I'm freaked out that it's going to affect my cheek muscle, as well as do nothing for my crows feet. What kind of effect should I expect? And should I ask for my money back?

What Happens when Botox is Injected in the Upper Cheek Area?

Yes, the muslces in this area (corrugators) are very strong in your case and men tend to have strong muscles in this area.&nbsp; You will need continuing&nbsp;treatments over time, meaning&nbsp;it will not be a one time fix.&nbsp; I suggest you see an experienced injector (dermatologist, plastic surgeon) in your area.

Hello, I am a 23 year old male and I have started to develop some small bumps just over my eyebrows. Over the past few months I find that I am getting more and more of an angry look. Judging from these pictures will botox make my forehead smooth again? Or are my muscles too strong? thank you,

You likely did not undo the effects of the IPL treatment, but what you are describing sounds unusual for IPL - massive swelling and horrible bruising.&nbsp; I agree with other responses here too that you should not be taking random doses of prednisone that is lying around.&nbsp; The reaction on your neck and chest sounds unusual too.&nbsp; You should return to be evaluated by the provider who performed the IPL and also inform him/her about the prednisone.

I had an IPL on Friday, with massive swelling around my eyes all weekend. Finally took some prednisone I had lying around to reduce the swelling so I could go back to work. Now my neck and chest are bright red and hot, which I understand (now) can be a side effect from the Prednisone. Did I just undo the effects of the IPL, which really was to treat redness? BTW, I have horrible bruising on my face, which I was a bit unprepared for. Is this normal?

Radiesse is not known to cause serious diseases or cancer.&nbsp; It is an FDA-approved filler material, and is made up of calcium hydroxyapetite which is very similar to a constituent found in bone.&nbsp; Injecting Radiesse into the nose is an off-label indication.&nbsp; If you've never had any filler injections, you may want to consider a hyaluronic acid filler, which, if you do not like the results, can be dissolved with an enzyme, hyaluronidase.&nbsp; I suggest you seek out an experienced injector and discuss these different options.

I don't have much nose bridge and also my nose tip is not pointy enough. So, I'm planning to take Radiesse to build the bridge of my nose and for the nose tip too. Is Radiesse completely safe?

During a consultation with my dermatologist, I asked about Restylane. He told me that Restylane was an outdated filler that has been on the market for years and has not been developed any further. He said there were much better products out there now but that Restylane was still being used a lot, because it has a higher profit margin for doctors. I would like to hear some opinions on this as I really have no way of judging as a consumer which products on the market would be more innovative than others.

If you are not seeing&nbsp;desired/expected results, it could be a matter of placement as well as the amount of product placed.&nbsp; Restylane itself is&nbsp;inert in that it does not react with elements in your skin, but rather fill in as a volumizer.&nbsp; It is best that you return to your injector for evaluation and express your disappointment with the outcome of this injection.&nbsp;

I had Restylane injected into the perpendicular lines above my upper lip last week. So far NO RESULTS. Could the product have been inert? There was initial swelling and some bruising, but there is no improvement at all in the area.

Four days is still very early.&nbsp; The swelling following injection of a filler such as Juvederm into the lips can take a couple of weeks to subside.&nbsp; There may be some bruising as well.&nbsp; Once the swelling/bruising has subsided, you may be quite happy with the results.

Hi there Its been 4 days now and my lips have softened by my upper lip still sticks out over my lower lip. Is this still part of the swelling process? Will it soften back into line with my lower lip? I had 1ml Juvederm Ultra, most in my upper lip to even it out and some in my lower lip. As you can see from the side I still feel very duck like.

The issue is likely the amount and the placement.&nbsp; 35 units of Xeomin is a relatively small amount for both&nbsp;the&nbsp;frown lines&nbsp;and horizontal forehead lines, if you are trying to "freeze" the forehead.&nbsp; You may have had good results when you were younger with 25 units of Botox, but I often find that as we grow older and wiser, we need a bit more than in the past.&nbsp; You may also be recruiting muscles alongside the frown lines and these recruited muscles, if not injected will take over and create the frown lines.&nbsp; I suggest you consider having more units injected either now or your next session, and consider more units total.&nbsp; You should let your injector see how much movement you have at 6 weeks with the 35 units.

When I started Botox it lasted 5.5 mo's &amp; my forehead was frozen! :D Then I tried Dysport. It didn't take as well, so I went back to Botox; however, Botox then lost it's efficacy! only lasting 2.5 mo's &amp; my forehead is never frozen as in the past :( I tried Zeomin (35 units) 6 wks ago &amp; guess what! My forehead is moving! :( I'm not any more active, I may be taking more vitamins, I'm healthy. Ugh!! Why is nothing working??? Anything I can do or try? -Just grow old I guess ;) NO! Lol!!
