I had a roux-en-y gastric bypass June 2, 2004. They couldn't weigh me that morning but estimate I was 500lbs. I lost 350lbs, had two kids and in February 2010 had a tummy tuck and arm lift. I wanted to have more but my recovery was hard. I have health issues already, plus the deficiencies from the bypass, 2 young kids and severe anemia. Fast forward a decade, and my husband and I agreed it was time. February 21 I had an upper body lift and liposuction on my thighs to prepare for a thigh lift this summer. Updated on 26 Feb 2020: Updated on 4 Aug 2020: Not perfect but I would have never done this before!

As with many women, my story is forwarding to the present: 2 teen children, active lifestyle, post-menopausal (which in of itself is a whole thing:-) and not at all happy with my shape. I'm not a overly vain person but I was tired of not feeling good about the way I looked in clothing, naked.... I never had liposuction in my radar - I thought it for morbidly obese people. I knew very little and felt helpless other than considering warm or cool sculpting. Based on what I told him I wanted, we discussed that those options might not give me the results I wanted. He was happy to do whatever I wanted but I realized that I wanted a look and this was the way to it. Dr. Flugstadt a seemingly reserved man, was very confident in his skills to help me out. I ended up with 360 abs, hips, outer thighs and arms - a lot:-). I can not begin to express how happy I am that I chose Dr. Flugstadt and that he performed my surgery. His staff was great, surgery center and the staff were really caring. The results were beyond what I truly expected. I still look everyday to see if it's really me:-). It feels so good to just put clothing on and not worry about how it looks anymore. I would recommend him to anyone!

I was bothered by my image in the mirror of sagging eye lids, jawline and neck. It did not match my self-image of a younger me. I chose Dr. Flugstad to perform plastic surgery on my eyelids, face and neck because of advanced training, certifications, and positive reviews and photos of his patients. I am so happy. The results exceeded my request for a natural younger appearance of my 30s. My appearance matches how I looked 60 years ago when I was 20! I often get compliments; friends and co-workers accept my stories of working out at the Y and primal fat burning diet. Dr. Flugstad is a highly skilled plastic surgeon with priority on patient safety, an artist, and a kind man who delivers the highest customer service. I especially appreciated the entire medical team’s focus on safety when they quickly responded to my apparent serious negative reaction to anesthesia. At several follow up visits, Dr. Flugstad and his entire staff reassured me as they addressed my concerns with kindness, patience and attention to detail. I feel grateful and so happy I chose Dr. Flugstad. My experience and the results exceeded my expectations. It was well worth the hour-long drives to his state-of-the-art surgery center with top notch staff.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Flugstad and his team at FPS. The first time I visited the office, I was nervous. From the initial consult to post-op care, they made me feel welcome, at ease and supported. Dr Flugstad reviewed options with me and clearly explained the recommendations for treatment. I knew then I had come to the right place. I am very pleased with the results of the surgery. Highly recommend FPS – they are excellent.

Throughout my cancer treatment journey, twice being diagnosed with breast cancer, undergoing three surgeries, Dr. Flugstad was a rock. He is an excellent surgeon, he carefully thought out his approach and execution of my difficult reconstruction. My outcome was better than I had hoped. He is truly a compassionate person and doctor who cares about his patients. His staff is welcoming and couldn't be nicer. For my last two surgeries I have traveled two hours each way to continue my care with Dr. Flugstad, sometimes multiple times a week. I would never have considered changing surgeons. He's the best.

I came to Dr. Flugstad with a good amount of work that needed to be done. I had lost so much weight that I literally needed to be carved out of myself. Dr. Flugstad and his staff made me feel comfortable pretty immediately. He has a kind and compassionate heart, never was I made to feel embarrassed to take my clothes off or anything of the sort, he was just that professional. But definitely not cold professional, rather very warm and welcoming. And I have to say, he knows his stuff! Dr. Flugstad even texted me personally right after one of my surgeries. He really does care and is sincere about it. I never had to question whether he cared about me or not. I had very extensive work done. I did have a couple, but very minor, side effects. One incision area about the size of a quarter got infected, but believe me, it was just expected with the amount of work I had done. And Dr. Flugstad always treated me and made sure I fully healed after my surgeries. In fact, I am so impressed with Dr. Flugstad and his staff, that even though I moved across the entire country, I won’t go to anyone else for my plastic surgery needs. I’d been seeing Dr. Flugstad for Restylane injections in my lips for a couple of years and was so impressed by his artistry and achievement of such a natural look, that I decided to take the plunge on a bigger procedure. I followed Dr. Flugstad’s recommendation for a Sculptra buttock enhancement to perk things up due to aging and couldn’t be happier with the results. As expected, his aesthetic skills and careful application of the product left me with absolutely no down time and little bruising or swelling post-op. Most importantly, the results are beautiful! It has added such a natural curve to my profile without looking exaggerated and the skin surface stayed perfectly smooth. Dr Flugstad is an artist and was able to match the reconstruction of a new breast to my existing breast after having a mastectomy to remove a cancerous tumor. He created a breast that matches my real breast so amazingly that you can’t tell which breast is the original!

Dr Flugstad did an amazing job with my surgery and made me feel comfortable through the whole process! I am beyond happy I went with him and that I decided to get the surgery! I met many surgeons before choosing him, and I made the right decision!

Dr. Flugstad repaired my breast reconstruction, due to a double mastectomy, from breast cancer. (My original plastic surgeon didn't do the best job.) My 5 year old daughter says to me...."Mommy, you have real boobs again!" If that doesn't sum up my experience, nothing will. I am thankful to Dr. Flugstad and his staff for making me feel whole again!!
