I truly cannot recommend any dermatologist more so than I do Dr Noëlle Sherber of Sherber and Rad. I started seeing Dr Sherber about a year ago after I realized that years of basking in the glory of the sun sans sunscreen or hats had indeed taken a toll. Over the last couple of years unsightly sun spots and general skin tone issues began to emerge, and nothing I did seemed to help. I researched well-regarded dermatologists in the area and Dr Sherber kept coming to my attention. I had done my due diligence and knew Dr Sherber was extraordinarily well-educated, but her kindness, empathy and compassion (almost) trump her intellect and talent. I have been undergoing treatment for my hyperpigmentation with Dr Sherber using the Clear and Brilliant laser. Between the laser and Dr Sherber overhauling my previous skincare routine (of course, kindly and only after I asked as Dr Sherber does not sell you on anything not asked about, needed or proven to be effective) my skin has literally never looked better. I am floored by the dramatic improvements I have seen over the last year. But moreover, I simply look forward to seeing Dr Sherber as she takes such a genuine interest in the lives of her patients. I have been seeing Dr. Sherber for over 10 years, following her from Baltimore to D.C., for a variety of skin care, including Botox, fillers and laser treatment. I have been working with Dr. Sherber to eliminate sun damage to my skin, she has been using a combination of products and laser treatments to a noticeable degree of success. Both Drs. Sherber and Rad are incredibly patient and kind. Their staff is courteous, helpful and non-judgmental. The entire group has made sure my experience has been positive and relatively stress free.

Dr. Sherber provided several treatments of Permea/Clear and Brilliant on my trouble spots (old scarred bumps from waxing/plucking, over-exfoliating and mild adult acne), combined with retinoid prescriptions and other solutions. So far, I have had 5-6 treatments. Since last year my skin tone and texture have improved, but more importantly my lifestyle habits have changed dramatically. No longer do I over-stimulate my skin with excessive products or heavily rely on bizarre homeopathic methods. The Permea helped a lot with uneven pigmentation, blotchiness and even forehead wrinkles! It's not a magical cure, and you need routine treatment (as well as daily care) depending on the severity of your condition. However, I believe it is worth it even if a bit on the costly side. In the long run, it's about maintaining good habits, good hygiene and living a stress free life. As a result of being around the Sherber team, I have changed my diet habits, decreased my caffeine intake and decided to focus on improving both my physical and mental well being.
