Not Afraid of the Dentist Anymore!!

I have always turned around and run from the Dentist. Even for a cleaning. Let me tell you - Dr. Folck and his staff are AMAZING!! I had a crown done and felt no pain. I could not even the injection from the Novocaine. I look forward to my visits now.

Minor Problems, Happy So Far - Virginia Beach, Va

I have had invisalign for only one week now, and so far so good.I have 19 trays and was told I should be done in about 9 months.I'm 20 years old and I had braces when I was 12-14 years old and just never wore the retainer....SO, this is why I have to fix my teeth again. I didnt want metal braces again for dumb reasons, like Im about to be twenty one and dont wanna go out to the bars with a metal mouth, and I already look like I'm 16 years old, I dont need any more help. So, here I am, one week into my invisalign treatment. I like it so far. I have had some problems though, I have two buttons of top and three on my bottom teeth. One of my top buttons matches up to one of the bottom so when I dont have my aligners in and I am eating the two buttons come together and pinch the inside of the cheek. Im sure I can have this fixed and I will bring it up at my next appointment. Also, DEFINITELY wash your aligners and brush your teeth ALL the time because you get what I like to call "gross invisalign breath." Also..I tend to drool while i sleep now and sometimes when im talking.. haha And the trays kind of push my lips out and the first couple of days my bottom lip was being almost like stretched out and I had to keep putting chapstick on because my lip was like cracking. Im sure that all my "problems" are common things that occur that will get better in time and arent truely big deals. But on a positive note, the two teeth that are on the outside of my two front teeth stick out and in just one week I have noticed they have slightly moved back into place and this makes me happy :) Anyways, so far, Id say worth it. But you really do have to be good with washing teeth and keeping your trays in. After you eat something get off the couch and brush your teeth and trays and put them back it!!! :)
