I don't see any sutures but it could just be the photo.&nbsp;None of these are particularly worrisome and will resolve with time. Im not sure if this little black of concern to call doctor.Is it the stitches? I know they were black but im not sure if thats what this is.

<p>Thanks for your question. The tape is usually removed after a few days or a couple weeks depending on your surgeon's preferences. I would encourage you to&nbsp;touch base with your surgeon and ask. Personally I leave tape or steristrips on until they fall off which is usually about a week or so. Good luck!</p>

Had my tummy tuck done vertically, on the 27th of July. Drain was taken out the 3rd of August. My question is when does the tape on top get removed.

Thank you for your question. I strongly recommend that you stop smoking and all products containing nicotine both before your procedure and afterward. The nicotine in cigarette smoke reduces blood flow to the skin and can lead to complication such as delayed wound healing, wound opening, infection, etc. Every surgeon has their own specific requirements regarding smoking. I tell patient to stop all nicotine containing products for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to surgery and for a minimum of 4 weeks afterwards. Hope this helps and good luck.

I'm 32, had 2 C-sections and am so ready for my TT and breast implants. I've smoked for years, but was told to stop before the surgery. Easier said than done! I've tried to cut back and have been going pretty good, but I'm pretty nervous about the surgery (May 12), so stopping is coming easy. Do I really need to quit?

Thank you for your question. A tummy tuck or abdminoplasty has the best results when you are close to your desired weight. You surgeon will be able to better predict what you final outcome will be is you are near your weight loss goal. As you mentioned, the procedure can help you lose additional weight after surgery by "kick starting" you. However if you lose additional weight you may have additional skin that you may want removed. Also, additional weight loss reduces complications such as delayed wound healing or infections, etc. Hope this helps and good luck.

Went for 2nd consult and this dr basically told me I should lose 30 pounds before doing procedure. Very sad. I gave just lost 15 and am right around 195 and 5,5. It has been so hard to lose weight and now I feel worse than ever. I was hoping it would kick start me to losing even more weight n

I am 1 day post op. Had surgery wed. March 2nd. Above the muscle. I am sore as expected. When I got home yesterday I had just a spot or two of dried blood. I noticed this evening after getting out of the tub I had a few more spots of dried blood. Is this to be expected? I'm concerned I may be doing more than I should and causing problems although I have been very under active.

I will be three weeks post op on Wednesday (02-10-2016) and for the last few days I've really started to notice that my nipples are pointing up.. And yesterday my mother pointed out that it's starting to look like a double bubble on my right breast... Does everything look okay at this stage or does it look like I am starting to get problems? I had 375cc High profile overs. Already wishing that I went bigger!

In person examination and consultation with measurements is essential in picking the right implant. Once a size is recommended it is important that you "try it on" and make sure you are pleased with how it looks. It is important to keep in mind the impact of the implant on your soft tissues. I had my first consultation for BReast Augmentation, I'm really confused on what size of implant to get. The doctor did not suggest size of implant. He said I'm 17 cm in diameter and I have a large chest wall width. I'm curently 36B I'm 5ft 130 lbs. I ultimately I want to be a full C or small D.

Based on your photos alone it is difficult to tell if this would give you the result that you are looking for. I recommend in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to evaluate your anatomy and skin elasticity and to address your specific concerns. I breast fed for two years, I really don't care to have a breast lift, would a bigger implant help me to achieve this look or would you recommend a lift ?

Thank you for your question. Breast augmentation is a great way to enhance your natural breast shape. The procedure will change a lot of your anatomy but it will not change the gap between your breast. Each breast has a natural "foot print" or foundation. Aggressive attempts at manipulation of the foundation carries a high chance for complication. Trying to reduce the gap between the breasts can lead to symmastia or "uniboob". The right push-up bra may address your concerns. I recommend consulting with a plastic surgeon to discuss your specific goals and concerns. Hope this helps and good luck.

Thank you for your question and for posting your photos. Based on your photos, I agree that your result is not ideal. There are many potential causes for this outcome including capsular contracture (tight scar tissue around the implant) or an implant that is inappropriately positioned. While there may be some changes as more time passes from your procedure, it is unlikely that they will be significant enough to address your concerns. I recommend that you stay in close contact with your surgeon or find a plastic surgeon more responsive to your concerns.

I am 6 months post opp. I have from day one felt like one implant was higher &amp; more swollen than the other. My doctor says we have to wait until closer to my 1 year mark to resolve the issue. I cannot sleep on my left side, and if I do on accident, I wake up in pain. My left side is hard &amp; painful, sometimes shooting pain, sometimes just mild discomfort. My doc says that the muscle is contracting &amp; pushing the implant up. Any advice or opinions. I would appreciate. It is very disheartening.
