Nervous but Ready - Texas

I am scheduled in july! I have always wished my boobs were bigger and after breastfeeding three kids I wasn't left with much!! Then I lost about 20 pounds and was left with even less on top. I have never done anything just for me so after discussing it with my wonderful husband I decided I was gonna be selfish. Went to two different PS but knew the moment I met Dr. O' Halloran she was the one her office staff is wonderful and very helpful. Really scared of surgery but hoping all goes well.Updated on 2 Jun 2012:Also forgot to add I am having a Hysterectomy as well on the same visit to the OR. Anyone else have this done? Also has anyone had both saline and silicone implants which feels better?Updated on 2 Jul 2012:Ok well after we worked hard to save the $$$, our neighbor let us know he was moving and we always joking around said if he moves we want his house, so instead of new boobies we are putting a down payment on our new home! Guess I just have to wait again :( , sad but excited too, being a mom is all about sacrifice though so I can wait.Updated on 1 Sep 2012:Ok I am resceduled for 28th of September, but only hitch is this time I will have surgery on a Friday and go back to work as a nurse on Monday or Tuesday. Has anyone else had to go back to work this soon?Updated on 22 Sep 2012:Went to my pre-op appointment yesterday, it now seems real to me. Wow I'm really gonna do this, really nervous now just praying everything goes well next Friday! tried on the sizers again, going with 350cc unders, hope they are just right soo worried about too small or too big.Updated on 27 Sep 2012:Oh my the night before surgery, the nerves are setting in now!! Scared and nervous and excited at the same time. Hope I am prepared!!Updated on 29 Sep 2012:post-op day 1: got home around 7 pm last night, mysurgery was at 2pm but spent extra time in recovery due to post-op nausea/vomiting, the nurses were great they gave me everything they could scopalamine patch, zofran and phenergan. I was still throwing up last night ( I hate General anesthesia). Very sore today feels like my milk came in and then someone put two bricks in my chest. The muscle relaxers help, not taking the vicodin cause it makes me sick, just using tylenol right now. I am so glad I have this community to refer to so I was better prepared.Updated on 1 Oct 2012:Much better today, actually drove and went to do a little shopping. Very sore still but it is way worse in the morning really swollen. adding some pics.Updated on 8 Dec 2012:I absolutely made a great choice, I love my new boobs they feel great and very natural feeling (says my husband), incisions are still pink but implants have finally dropped and I can wear an underwire bra now, got fitted last week I am a 34 D 1/2 so tried a 34D and 34 DD but D was too small so went with 34 DD, I thought I was gonna be a full C but I guessed wrong. Just a tip Wal-Mart has great microfiber bras with lightly padded front (so no nipple show) and no wire for only $5, I lived in these the past few months before I could buy a "real bra" and they worked great. Nipples are still numb at the bottom but Dr. says they should come back within 6 months, I loved her because she has implants too and so does her nurse and neither one was afraid to talk about their experience. I would highly reccomend Dr. Laura O'Hallran in Tyler Texas at Trinity Clinic Cosmetic Surgery!!!!!
