5 out of 5 stars Body Lift

Alot of Weight Loss, and Lots of Excuse Horrible Skin! - London, GB

Mark Soldin, has a calming way about him and such a lovely man. The work he has done for me is incredible, from a girl that hated her body, and going to not minding it was a massive step for me. I would recommend Mr Soldin to anyone and everyone, who is in the area.

5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck

Full Tummy Tuck with M/r No Lipo - London, GB

UK resident living on the outskirts of South West London. I was give the name of two plastic surgeons by my GP. I did some research on the internet and decided to book a consultation with Mr Soldin as I felt this was more his area of expertise. I rang his secretary Sue, who was immediately helpful and told me what I needed to do and answered my initial questions. I then went to see Mr Soldin for my first consultation, which included assessment for suitability, realistic expectations and a run through of what was to come if I was to proceed. I was incredibly nervous but Mr Soldin has a very kind and calming manner and although Mr Soldin had made the risks very clear (which he is obliged to do) and I knew this was not a minor procedure, I came away feeling excited. I now had to go away, look at some websites (which I had to sign to confirm I had read) and write a list of questions for my next consultation. Again I was very nervous about this next consultation but Mr Soldin again explained the procedure, was honest in his portrayal of the standard risks and answered all my questions, which gave me lots of reassurance. Again I came away feeling positive and excited. The run up to the surgery I was a complete nervous wreck, terrified that I was going to die and leave my children without a mother for the sake of my own vanity. However, I also knew that if I didn't go ahead with the surgery I would always wish I had. During this time Sue was fantastic at answering all my questions, which helped calm my nerves. Surgery day came, the nurse that looked after me was so nice and I will never forget the way she squeezed my hand and told me she would see me later on when she took me down to the operating theatre. Mr Soldin again went through the steps with me, all I really wanted to know at this stage was that I wasn't going to die. The anaesthetist (who had worked with Mr Soldin for ~10 years) also came to see me was a very kind and gentle man who instantly made me feel better, he chatted away to me as he put me under. I remember talking to him, feeling a little drunk and then being woken up with it all over. PHEW! I felt like I had just done somewhere in the region of a million sit ups but that was really the only pain and it was completely manageable. I had been given a pain pump but didn't use it! I seem to remember being given some pain relief in the drip I was on in hospital but other than that I just took ibuprofen and paracetamol. The rest of the recovery was uneventful. At one point I thought I may have an infection in my belly button as it became very very red, I could tell if it was sore as it is numb. Sue advised me on some cream to be prescribed by my GP which I got. When it was still very red I called the hospital and spoke to a very helpful nurse who asked me to describe the area in detail. She then spoke to Mr Soldin and called me back, telling me what to do next and also said that I could see Mr Soldin at an earlier clinic (I was scheduled to see him a few days after anyway) if I was still concerned. I was happy and felt reassured. I was then surprised when an hour later I received a phone call at home from Mr Soldin to go through the concern around my belly button personally - this was over and above the level of care I had expected. I then saw Mr Soldin twice more for follow up appointments where everything was healing as it should be. I am now not due to go back for a year but again Mr Soldin re iterated that I can go back at any time before that if I have any concerns or questions. I have not regretted my decision either to have the procedure or to do so with Mr Soldin and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

42 with Sudo Gynecomastia - London, UK

I was told not to worry and that I would be happy with the results, I`m not. The scarring is obvious and there is no improvement with the appearance of my chest. I have seen Dr Mark Soldin and he said he will perform a revision at no cost. I do not want any further damage done.
