This should effectively treat the wrinkles you can see. Provided you see an experienced practitioner, this should be absolutely fine. It is possible to freeze some of the central portion of frontalis (the brow muscle) if you inject too high, which can lead to arched eyebrows. This can be treated with some additional injections to the forehead if needed, and is one of the reasons why some people recommend treating the glabella and forehead together.

This is a relatively straightforward procedure that can be performed under local anaesthetic - just make sure you visit a board certified plastic surgeon. Great question! I know its very tempting to let the wound air, but wounds tends to heal quicker in a moist environment. I would continue using the ointment prescribed by your PS. Remember you are still in the very early postoperative stages, but it sounds as though things are doing fine!

Your left breast does look swollen compared to the left. It’s very unlikely that this is due to having the sutures removed. The most common causes of swelling post op are bleeding and seroma. However, the swelling isn’t too bad, there’s little bruising and the breast doesn’t look infected. It should settle down on its own, but this can take several weeks weeks. Keep an eye out for any changes and contact your plastic surgeon if you are concerned.

Some procedures (tummy tuck in particular) are prone to forming a fluid collection post op. This is called a seroma. Often this is self-limiting and reabsorbed by your body, helped by wearing a compression garment. Sometimes your Plastic Surgeon may choose to drain the seroma. This is a simple procedure that can be performed in the office with a needle and syringe. It’s usually relatively painless, but may need to be performed more than once until the seroma settles down.

The effects of Juvederm can be seen immediately. However, it works by drawing water to the area and so some additional fullness can be expected over the next few days. Some people develop inflammation after the injection, which can also cause temporary swelling before subsiding. As a rough guide, fillers will last about 6 months, though this can vary greatly between individuals.

In my experience, patients do not find anti-wrinkle injections painful. A tiny needle is used and most people say they notice a small scratch, if that. Dermal filler injections can be sore and these come mixed with a local anaesthetic to help numb the area. A local anaesthetic cream can be applied to the skin before dermal filler injections, to help make the procedure more comfortable.

Breast implants can be placed either under the chest muscles (sub-muscular) or over them (sub-glandular). Broadly speaking, patients with very small breasts are advised to have their implants placed under the muscle, as this provides additional coverage to the implant. This helps prevent visibility of the implant and camouflages rippling and wrinkling of the implant. Most patients who have sub-muscular implants notice that their implants sit high on the breast for the first few weeks after surgery. As the muscles relax, the implants settle and begin to lie in a more natural-looking position, so called “drop and fluff”. A potential downside of sub-muscular implants is “animation deformity”, which is movement of the breast implants seen with contraction of the chest muscles. This is an important consideration in someone who is a keen gym-goer or sportsperson.

I found Adam whilst I was researching surgeons in 2021, so when I was finally ready to book my abdominoplasty surgery, I contacted his PA (Lauren) and arranged my first consultation. The booking process was quick and easy, Lauren was very helpful. During my first consultation, Adam was very welcoming and reassuring and put me at ease, especially during the examination, which can make you feel very exposed and vulnerable. Adam gave me his recommendation but also respected my initial thoughts about the surgery I initially wanted. I was given time to consider my options, and there was absolutely no pressure to book / proceed during the consultation. However, being super impatient and organised I knew I wanted to book my procedure during a specific month, so I contacted Lauren the next day to request costings and availability, which I received in a timely manner. I decided to take Adams professional and experienced advice into consideration and opted for the fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty. Lauren made all the arrangements with the hospital and the countdown began! I had a second consultation with Adam, prior to the procedue, which gave me an opportunity to ask any questions that arose following the initial consultation. There was very limited contact / correspondence from the hospital relating to the surgery, but this is the hospitals standard procedure. I contacted Lauren with any concerns I had and always recieved a prompt reply. I was not contacted by the hospital for the pre op etc.until 2 weeks before my surgery date (which is normal). On surgery day, Adam came round to discuss the procedure, take my consent, and draw me up. He could tell I was extremely anxious and did his best to reassure me. Everything was explained very well. Following the procedure, Adam reviewed me and reassured me that everything went well, and he said that he was excited to see the progress at my 3 week check up. Which felt nice and reassuring. The only only minor negative (constructive feedback) I would mention is my husband felt excluded / ignored during the consultation / on surgery day and would have liked to have felt more included in discussions, especially on surgery day when he was feeling anxious / worried. Post surgery I've had multiple concerns (I'm a worrier) and I've contacted Adam many times and he has always replied promptly with his advice / reassurance, which has been invaluable and very much appreciated! I'm four weeks post op and I'm very happy with my results. Knowing that I will be reviewed regularly and any concerns are dealt with promptly gives me so much reassurance. I would highly recommend Adam to anyone, he is a very experienced and talented surgeon with a high attention to detail

Dr Adam Sierakowski provided me care when I approached him to remove three moles on my face.
