10 Q&A

Q: I would like to get CoolSculpting done to my pubic mound. I have seen it can be used on the abdomen, can it be used lower?
Answered by Dr. YoungSeptember 17, 2018

A: Yes, CoolSculpting can effectively reduce fat on the mons area. Typically two visits are needed, but excellent results can be obtained non-surgically using CoolSculpting.

Q: It’s been 14 months and my lip fillers haven’t dissolved. Will they ever completely dissolve?
Answered by Niva Leones, RN, Licensed AestheticianJuly 2, 2018

A: It's hard to answer that question without knowing which type of dermal filler that you had injected.  Many hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm Ultra and Restylane are indicated to last up to 12 months, where as Vollure is indicated to last up to 18 months and Voluma can last up tp 2 years.  This is not to say that they might not last longer. There are also semi-permanent fillers such as BellaFill that can last up to 5 years. I would consult with your physician on which type of dermal filler was injected, so that you can be better educated on what to expect from your treatment.

Q: Would I see an improvement with chin fillers? (Photo)
Answered by Niva Leones, RN, Licensed AestheticianJuly 2, 2018

A: Dermal fillers such as Voluma or Vollure can be used in the jawline to give more structure and balance to the lower face.  These fillers are indicated to last up to 18-24 months. Swelling and bruising may occur, however you will not have any major downtime that would interfere with you mommy duties.

Q: What Tattoo Ink Colors Are Easiest to Remove?
Answered by Dr. YoungMarch 16, 2018

A: Tattoo removing methods have improved significantly over the years, and with the latest equipment such as the PiQo4 which we use in our Young Forever MediSpa, colors that were once difficult to remove are now done faster and more effectively than ever. While our equipment has been very successful in removing all color inks, the ones that tend to be most problematic are the reds followed by yellow. Black is the easiest.

Q: How long does it take to see results from CoolSculpting? Will I need more than 1 treatment?
Answered by Dr. YoungMarch 14, 2018

A: In most cases, yes, more than a single visit of CoolSculpting is needed. While many get noticeable results that they're very happy with after their first treatment, it is recommended that you have at least 2 cycles. Many start seeing changes after a few weeks, but the bulk of the fat loss will occur after 2 to 3 months. An exam and consultation with an experienced CoolSculpting technician will give you a better idea of what you could expect with CoolSculpting.
