You should brush the trays very well, inside and out making sure the toothbrush bristles go inside all the way so there is no plaque left (that may cause decay on the tip of the teeth if not cleaned properly). There are products that your orthodontist can prescribe to soak your trays in as well which helps keeping them fresh, however you still need to brush them. Hope this helps.
