I have researched the tear trough fill procedure and technique for more than a year. My reservations were understandable. I didn't want to ruin my face. On August 11 just a few days ago, I took the plunge and put my faith in the expertise of Dr. Jennifer Peterson. I am very satisfied with the improvement in my age related under eye hollowing. I am no "Spring Chicken" but I do look younger than my age. I am not trying to look 40 but I wanted a more refreshed look. During my consultation, Dr. Peterson listened to my major concerns and suggested tear trough filler as a first step. I have nothing but positives for Dr. Peterson. She used a canulla and restylane silk to take a few years off of my under eye area. I experienced no pain, no bruising and very insignificant swelling. I am just 2 days post procedure. Updated on 22 Aug 2017: It has been 11 days since I has my tear troughs filled with Restylane Silk. The filler has settled so my improvement isn't as good as it was at day 2-5. For now, I am satisfied even though the improvement is subtle. Likely, I need another unit. Updated on 28 Mar 2018: It has been 7 months since I had Restylane Silk injected into my tear trough area. The filler is mostly gone. My tear troughs have deepened to the before filler state. I liked the results that I got from Restylane Silk so I will get filled again. I did notice about 5 months after the pricedure that I needed a little more filler.

I've had hollow eyes for about 10 years and always resented taking photos or found myself piling on tons of concealer to diminish the hollow appearance around my eyes. Lo and behold I found someone who is skilled in this procedure but can reassure that this won't be painful. I had a great experience with Dr. Jennifer Peterson here in Houston and not only did I love her bedside manner but my results were immediate and amazing! Thank you Dr. Peterson. 2 years after fat transfer, most of it is gone and left me with lumps and irregular highs and lows. Saw Dr P for voluma and juvederm to fill in areas that were problematic. She did a gorgeous job. No pain, no bruising. Looks amazing. A little pricey but worth it. She knew exactly where to place the voluma. She said 1 syringe of volumA in cheeks and 1 syringe of juvederm around the marionette - mouth area. She was spot on. Her staff is great and took good care of me. dr P is definitely the gal for my filler from now on Updated on 13 Jan 2015: Voluma certainly lifts and tightens! Wow. Better than fat ever did. My cheeks are full and look great. Had a check up with my Derm today and she said I'm still a little swollen. Hoping in the next few weeks it settles in. Like it a lot. Very happy with results. Sorry for not posting pics but I have a high profile job. After spending over 30 k on fat and facelift-,the 1000 for voluma is way worth it. Dr Peterson did a good job.

I only wanted to slightly plump my aging lips, so Dr Peterson simply used some Restylane from my tear trough injections to see how I liked it. The first night was a little uncomfortable and the first day after the procedure, I did have a good bit of swelling. Once again, Dr Peterson did not bruise me one bit! I've been to her for multiple injections and have never bruised! She's simply amazing! It has only been 3 days and I'm super happy with how they look. There is still some slight soreness and swelling, but I think they will be perfect once that is gone. I wishi would have taken a before photo, but I found one from a few months ago that I cropped out to have a comparison. Previously had a local doctor inject both Radiesse in cheeks and Belotero in tear troughs to fix eye bags. Result was not satisfactory. Drove a few hours to Houston to get a second opinion and had new doctor inject Restylene. Not ONE bruise and very little swelling compared to previous injections. Doctor was very professional and checked on me the following day. Super happy with results! Updated on 4 Dec 2014: After the initial correction from previous doctor's injections, I've only had to have Restylane injected once in the past year. This photo was taken exactly one year after last Restylane injection and about 10 months after she injected my cheeks with Voluma. Previously my eye bags would have looked HORRENDOUS if I had a photo taken at this angle. I'm loving the results!

PDT takes some time, involves some pain, and basically isn't fun... HOWEVER it is a must for many of us in the prevention of further skin cancer surgeries. After a series of squamous surgeries I have done a series of PDT treatments and since then no more surgeries. An added, unexpected perk is that after the procedure the skin is rejuvenated. My skin looked better and felt smoother. If you need it--do it!

Belotero is terrific. Did the procedure several months ago and still loving the results. Yes it does hurt a bit more than Botox or other injectables but so worth it. The fine lines around my mouth, and acne scars were all smoothed out with one syringe of Belotero! Love the results. The only downside is the bruising, so allow yourself plenty of time before any big events.

Had a WONDERFUL experience with Dr. Peterson at the Dermatology and Laser Center here in Houston Texas. She is absolutely one of the best dermatologist I have come across in this lifetime. Her skill set and vision is right-on. I had Restylane injections in the tear troughs and the outer eyes/upper cheek and folds- Had no bruising what-so-ever and she used a cannulla of some sort for her initial technique to minimize trauma- my results were immediate~ The office staff are impeccable and she is truly a leader in this area! She is hard to get an appointment with as she stays pretty busy. She explains what she is doing 'function by function' and even called me to check on me the following afternoon. I was soooo surprised! Updated on 5 Oct 2012: Today i went back in to Dr. Peterson for a slight touch up. It again was an amazing experience. She numbed my face for the botox so I essentially felt nothing. She also administered about 1/2cc Restylane to my tear troughs as a slight touch-up. It was absolutely pain free and I can immediately see the difference. I have heard from others that she has essentially no complaints of bruising- I will tell you... I am too feeling that her technique is a great reason why she does not have terrible mis-haps. I will try to post pics.. but it is so hard to post face pics as the industry I work- I will try to post nonetheless. I look 10years younger without make-up since she has been doing my filler and botox... I am so glad I chose her~

Dr. Peterson is not only a talented and consummate professional, she is also a caring person who could put even the most anxious patient at ease. I would trust her to perform any procedure, knowing she would make me look beautiful! She has done many, many Botox and Restylane injections on me and I could hardly feel them, even in the most sensitive and difficult areas. The results were completely natural-looking. I live in a different state and will travel to her when it is time for a touch-up rather than go see anyone else.

I had two procedures: Levulan with IPL/PDT for skin cancers on my face, neck and chest. Also, arms and hands. Also injectable gel on my face to minimize lines and uplift appearance. I was very pleased.
