Bonding periodically needs to be redone due to staining.  Despite being hard, it is a porous material.  Bonding is also not a strong as veneers.  Get you child through college and then spend the money on yourself.

a tooth that has had a root canal should not hurt after the placement of a crown.  The gums could be infected or the tooth may be biting too hard.  Your dentist shoucl be happy to examine you at no charge to evaluate what the problem is.

A tooth usually needs a root canal due to decay or fracture.  In both of these cases a significant portion of the tooth has to be restored.  The longer you wait the greater the chance of fracture of the tooth. or new decay.  Teeth become a bit more brittle after a root canal, and for that reason they are more prone to fracture.  After  youo have spent the money on a root canal, you would not want to lose the tooth.

The implant is held in your jaw by the bone.  If a tooth loses bone, it fails, and an implant is no different.  However, an implant is not a total failure until it gets loose.  Many implants continue to function having had some bone loss.

Is lumineers the best choice ?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Lumineers are a great treatment if you have excess space between your teeth or if you teeth lean back.  If your teeth stick out or are crowded, then conventional veneers are a better option.  Placing Lumineers on crowded teeth will look bulkier.  Think of them as acrylic nails.  Thay have to look as if they are a part of the tooth and not on top of the tooth.

I was trained by Dr Carl Misch, the foremost authority on dental implants.  Dr Misch teaches to splint implants together whenever possible to increase the strength.  There you have it from the foremost authority.

Implants if properly placed should be completely inside the bone.  Sometime some of the covering bone is lost and you can feel the implant.  It does not mean the implant has failed, simply it is compromised.  Regular exams and good oral hygiene will help keep it serviceable.

Dental implants that have been successful are usually 12mm long.  The shortest with a good track record is 9mm.  Many of the Bicon implants are much shorter that that.  The sinus should never limit the length of an implant.  The sinus can be grafted to make more room for an implant.  It is very predictable.  I would not put a short implant in my brothers mouth.

What do I do? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
It appears that your teeth could easily be straightened with Invisalign.  Braces would be another alternative, but Invisalign is the healthiest.

There appears to be enough room for a tooth in the space.  It could be  a bridge.  Only a CAT scan would tell us if you have enough room for an implant.
