David M. Lavine, MD, PA (retired)

Dr. Lavine is an incredible surgeon with great bedside manner. His nurse, Monica is also one of a kind. Both very sweet and answers all your questions. He also performed an augmentation on my friend who referred me to him, I would recommend them to anyone. I had some problems with my part of my scar being hypertrophic (which is my body and the way it scars) and he is determined to flatten it. I got 421CC "gummy bear" in both breasts which made me go from a 34B to a 34D, they look, feel real and fit my body perfectly. Almost a year later, I had no other complications after my surgery.

I first went to Dr. David Lavine 10 years ago after extensive research. Two of My Girlfriends and I flew from NYC to Texas to meet with the Dr. They were both to get Breast Augmentation & I a Rhinoplasty. From the moment I met him I knew we were in the Right hands! All 3 surgeries came out above Perfection! Could not be happier with the results! So its to no surprise that when I was gearing up to Compete at Olympia last year and realized I needed a Breast Augmentation that the only Dr. I would allow touch me is Dr. Lavine! I flew down to Texas and he took amazing care of me. Even filled and plumped my face to boot! When I hit that Stage in Vegas 3 weeks later I felt Like a Million $ Bucks! I was very unhappy with my breasts after breastfeeding 3 kids. My breasts were deflated and saggy. I felt self-conscious in any tank top or tight shirt. I was a B-cup and wanted to be a little bigger. I wanted to regain the fullness my breasts had before kids. I ended up getting a lift with 475 cc saline implants as well as lipo under my arms. So far I am very happy with the results.

I was referred to Dr. Lavine, went on my first consultation and schedule my surgery the same day. His staff was very professional and courteous. He was very knowledgable and gave me suggestions, that I took, and am very happy with the results! I would highly recommend him to anyone. I was very athletic my entire life, after graduating from college I wanted to have my BA. I am 6 foot tall, 152 lbs and I went from a 34 A to a 34 D and look completely natural!

I went to Dr. Lavine in 2000 for breast augmentation. For 14 years I did not experience any issues nor did I get the ripple effect I have heard is common after several years. I went back to him in June of 2014 after a baby, and some weight gain. I had implant removal, small reduction, a lift and a tiny bit of lipo. I couldn't be happier! I look great, I have healed well and I stand by my decision to use him again for the second set of surgeries. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his staff. Dr. Lavine and his staff are terrific. I had my first BA 14 years ago and was pleased with every visit and conversation I had. Dr. Lavine is a straight shooter. He tells it like it is and takes pride in his work. Both my husband and I couldn't be happier with the results. About two years ago I had Dr. Lavine perform my tummy tuck and lipo of my inner and outer thighs plus my love handles. As this was a bigger surgery Doc made sure I was well aware of all my options and told me exactly what to expect. I followed his pre and post operation instructions and my results are what he said, Great.* Not everyone heals the same or "perfect". Don't expect that. But Dr. Lavine is as close to perfect as you can get. It has been two years from my tummy tuck and I wanted to fix a scar that did not heal as well as I wanted my body to heal it and get an implant exchange. NO Question, Dr. Lavine was the man. He performed my exchange to silicone; and fixed the scar at no additional charge. He has such a fun attitude and it shows in his staff and the fact that he still loves what he does. He has also performed BA and a nose job on someone else in my family. I highly recommend Dr. Lavine.

Performed breast augmentation. All worked very well from beginning to end. The reviews, the preparation including operations and of course the ultimate result, the positive outcome of the procedure. My "new" smaller breast are very nice, truly pleased with Dr Lavine, the supportive, honest, caring, service minded, professional and nice staff and the outcome of my procedure. This is my second plastic surgery with Dr Lavine and his team, both events truly successful. Very please and strongly recommend Dr Lavine and his team.

I was referred to Dr. Lavine from a friend that had BA done by him and she raved about him. Now I know why, he is wonderful. He gave me exactly what I wanted and even what I didn' t know I wanted. He is very experienced and precise. I had one breast that was larger which of course sat lower and he completely evened them out. Amber is so nice and patient. She will answer ANY questions that you have and some you hadn't even thought of yet. I have already referred a couple of friends to him and will definitely go back if I need other work done.

Hi everyone, I have been reading BA stories on this site a lot. I was so nervous about anesthesia (I am a single mom with two little ones). I was freaking out about what happen if the anesthesia went wrong, who is going to take care of my babies, ect ect. But on the other hand, my divorce was finally over and I wanted to do this for couple years now. I was always self conscious and never wore a Bikini. Anyway, so the surgery day finally arrived (today!). I tried to stay as calm as I possibly could. I told myself that "nobody forces you to do it. You are doing this for your self!" And that helped a lot. When I got to the surgery center (I think it's called Plaza Day surgery center) at 8:40am (surgery time was at 9:30am), the nurses there were absolutely amazing. I felt like I was a child and they were my moms taking care of me lol The wait time was short, and as soon as I got into the operating room, they hooked up IV on my right hand, I didn't even remember when I fell asleep. I woke up in the recovery area and asked them what time was it. It was about 1pm already. I was so happy I was able to wake up (I thought of the worst before the surgery) that I didn't feel much pain. Maybe my pain was a 2 (out of 10). My mom and my sons came to pick me up, and as soon as I got home I ate something then went to bed at 2:30 or 3pm. Now it's 4:45pm and I am wide awake! I will keep posting my recovery and look forward reading your BA journey too! Updated on 4 Oct 2013: Last night was kind of rough. Woke up in pain, couldn't get out of bed or even reached to get my cell phone. Luckily my mom heard me calling her and came to help me to get up. I got up, took some pain reliever and muscle relaxant. Sat for awhile (less painful when I was sitting down), then went back to bed. This morning I still couldn't get out of bed myself. Kind of worry if I will be able to go back to work next Monday or not. I heard that the first three days are the hardest. Still haven't removed my dressing, doctor said I can remove my dressing two days after the surgery. I can't wait to remove it tomorrow and see how my new boobs look Like. I hope I won't be disappointed... Here is a picture of my boobs - post op day 2. They seem huge but I think it may just because of all the swelling. Updated on 5 Oct 2013: Today is post op day 2. I removed my dressing and my new boobs looked huge! I don't know if I like them this big or not. But they are much better than the small breasts I had before so I can't complaint :) My boobs are still hard and sore. Getting out of bed is still the most painful part of the recovery process for me. When will this tightness feeling go away? When will my implants start to drop and fluff ? Updated on 6 Oct 2013: I managed to go through today without taking pain med and muscle relaxant. But I still slept most of the day. I am worry how I would be able to work tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will be better than today. My boobs are still hard and sore. But I can feel my nipples so I am glad they didn't lose any sensation. Oh and my mom helped me to wash my hair today. Felt so good afterwards. My face and hair were so oily and I just couldn't stand it anymore lol. I can't wait for my implants to drop and fluff and can't wait to feel normal again. I need to be patient this is only day 3... Updated on 7 Oct 2013: Went back to work today. Probably not a good idea. First of all, my commute to work was 1 1/2 hour drive each way. I was exhausted just driving to work. Second, my doctor said I shouldn't wear any bra until I see him this Thursday. I felt so awkward wearing no bra at work today. Whenever people looked at my boobs, I got really self conscious @@ I didn't take any pain med or muscle relaxant today because I didn't want to get sleepy, so my boobs were really right the whole day. And on top of that, my coworkers invited me to go out for lunch. So I had to get up and walk to the car (almost in tears). I wish this week will go by super fast because I don't know how I am going to go through the next 4 days like this (cry ) sigh ..... I left work at 4:30pm, drove another 1 1/2 hours home. Now I just had dinner and I will take my muscle relaxant right away. Ouch ouch ouch Updated on 9 Oct 2013: Yesterday (post op day 5) was probably the worst day in terms of pain and tightness. I wanted to take a day off but we just secured a very big client so I had to come to work. My breasts were extremely tight and uncomfortable. They hurt a lot when I walked. Driving was a pain. Overall I felt post op day 5 was the hardest for me and the swelling was at its highest. I went home and went to bed at 7:30pm yesterday. This morning I woke up feeling great. Most of the tightness had magically disappeared overnight. It's the weirdest thing. I took my first real shower this morning. The drive to work today wasn't bad at all either. The swelling went down a lot too. My side boobs don't hurt as much when I touch them now. I am a happy camper today woohoo! I hope it's all uphill from now on! And I really miss wearing a bra. I hope I get to wear a bra soon. I will have my first post op doctor's appointment tomorrow to remove the stitches. Updated on 12 Oct 2013: Post op day 7: went to Dr Lavine and got my stitches removed. A nurse there told me I could wear sports bra now but no underwire bra yet because my implants still need to drop some more. So after work I immediately went to Kohl's and bought two sports bra! Happy ! Post op day 9: I feel my swelling has gone down some more. My new boobs don't look as huge as they were right after the surgery now (or is it just because I got more used to them now? I don't know). I think it's a good size for me and I am starting to like them more and more as days go by :) i can't wait to start working out again though ... I have gained 4 pounds in one week :( Updated on 16 Oct 2013: I don't really have any discomfort now. I am so surprised how easy the recovery is. I think both implants drop nicely and they drop almost at the same speed (good team work) haha But I am constantly checking to make sure they are not "bottoming out". I think bottoming out is one of my biggest fears so far. I am really looking forward to wear a normal bra now. Sports bra gets old really fast ... Sometimes when I bent down I can feel my implants moving its so weird and a little scary .. But that's about it Updated on 16 Oct 2013: Another two weeks post op pic Updated on 22 Oct 2013: Almost 3 weeks post op. I cannot be happier. I think Dr Lavine did a great job :) I don't know if they have dropped to where they need to be yet or not, but I will have another follow up appointment next Thursday. My incisions are healing nicely too. Updated on 22 Oct 2013: Post op day 19 pictures Updated on 27 Oct 2013: I went to victoria secret today and tried on a 34D bra. I think it fits great. Although I would like to try on a 34DD bra next time. I am really looking forward to wear a push up bra soon because i think they make my boobs look perkier and it will look better when I have clothes on. But I know my incisions need to heal first so just be patient. Updated on 24 Nov 2013: Almost two months after my BA surgery. I can wear any bra I want now :) so happy! But actually I am still wearing my sports bra most of the time. I feel more comfortable in them for some reason. Victoria push-up bras are amazing but maybe because I am still healing so push up bra tends to make my boobs hurt a little. I think I am officially a 34DD (see pic). They are exactly the size I wanted. Dr Lavine is great ! I am really happy with the size. I had never though about getting breast implants until after I had a baby and breast fed for awhile. My boobs looked like deflated balloons with stretch marks! I was still the same size as I was pre-pregnancy, 34B, but they looked completely different. I went to see Dr. Lavine in Fort Worth in April. Everyone was so kind and understanding. It was not at all awkward like I thought it would be. I decided to have the surgery and at first requested saline but then later changed my mind. I decided on silicone even though it was more expensive. So glad I did! I wanted to go from a 34B to a D cup. The surgery itself was easy. I've had a few surgeries in my life and this was by far the easiest. There was some pain afterwards but nothing too bad. He used Silicone Smooth Round Moderate Plus with 425cc in each breast. The incisions are underneath the breast. I can still see the scars right now but I know that they will fade so it's not a big deal. It took over a month before the implants settled into the right place. At first, they WILL look too high but that is normal and you shouldn't panic! It just takes time. I actually ended up being a 34DD! Never in my life did I think I would have double d's!! It also significantly improved the look of my stretch marks. I guess it just kind of filled them out so that they don't look so deep. Just an added bonus! It has done a lot to help improve my self confidence. I no longer dread going out in public. I am so happy that I made this decision and strongly recommend Dr. Lavine in Fort Worth, TX to anyone who is close to that area. He is worth traveling to see. Hope this helps! Updated on 3 Nov 2013: Overall I am still very happy with the surgery BUT it has been about 7 months and the under part of my breasts are still completely numb. My left nipple has probably 75% feeling although it is more pain than anything else. My right nipple probably only has about 15% feeling/tingling pain. I REALLY hope that the feeling comes back... I am hoping to have another baby in the future and I cannot imagine breast feeding with this type of nipple pain. I have another concern about pregnancy as well. My implants are pretty large... how will my skin have room to stretch with pregnancy if they are already pretty full? I REALLY don't want stretch marks on the top of my breasts. That is pretty much the only place on my body that isn't badly marked. Should I get the implants taken out before pregnancy?? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
