Consultation review - detailed, in depth, realistic, and comforting

Will post updates as I go through the process....After 4 months and several consults with local doctors, I decided to book my TT, Lipo, breast lift and aug with Dr. Pollock -- His consult was more detailed, in depth, realistic, and comforting than the others I spoke with. Leaving his office, I felt confident with his plan, pricing, and that I was in good hands. His experience and resume speak for themselves and I am excited to see how the procedure goes in August.

I Don’t Recognize Myself!

I am 11 days PO from a TT and BL. I’m 50 and wish I had done this sooner. I had other consultations and looked at many photos. When I booked a consultation with Dr Pollock he didn’t have any before and after pictures so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Turns out I actually loved that he didn’t have any online photos. My consultation completely put my mind at ease. He talked with me and then showed me the photos for my body type and it completely took away any anxiety I had. Due to some other unforeseen medical issues (well because you know, 2020) I wasn’t able to get the surgery when I initially wanted to. I took care and got medical clearance so I went for it as soon as I could. There’s one word for Dr Pollock and that’s perfectionist. I’ve had 6 babies and nursed 5 babies so you can only imagine how much work he had to do. Not even 2 weeks out and I hardly recognize my body! I am so excited what these next few months will bring. Ladies, go for it! Also his staff is amazing and I’m going to miss them!

Not the Greatest Experience

I may change my review with time, but at this moment I can only give him 3 stars if I am being completely honest. I had an extended Tummy Tuck, Breastlift with Internal Bra, and lipo on flanks and back. I will go over the issues that I have had first. My tummy and flanks are very uneven due to what appears to be uneven liposuction. My back seems nearly untouched with liposuction. Although there was a change in my back the majority of that change was due to the extended tummy tuck. Then my breast lift issues. My nipples are more like long ovals. I was up sold on GalaFlex also known as internal bra with my lift for an additional $2000. This GalaFlex was supposed to hold my breast up and give the appearance of implants. It looked amazing at first then by 4 weeks post op my breast lost all upper pole fullness. I don’t believe the GalaFlex is worth the added cost at all. I was also quiet disappointed with the staff. I was over charged $1000.00 and when I brought it up they had “misplaced” a receipt. I was on the phone over 30 minutes trying to prove that I was overcharged. Also, at my post op appt Kim came into the room to remove the few sutures I had. During small talk she was talking about the “big” patient in the room next to me. I was very disappointed and uncomfortable because I felt that she would speak of me the same way. Dr Pollock was referred to me by several friends. Most of which had implants or simple tummy tucks. So out of all my friends I had the most work done. I must say that overall I have been very disappointed. I have mentioned my concerns regarding my procedures and I was told that we can look at the issues in 4-6 months. Hoping he is understanding of my concerns. Updated on 3 Oct 2020: My review on GalaFlex is still the same. I would have saved the added cost and just gotten a lift. I don’t believe the use of this mesh makes much of a difference in my situation. Also, for me the mesh causes a bit of discomfort. Dr Pollock said if needed we can do a small revision at a year mark which is a huge relief to know my breast will look better. He explained my skin has no elasticity and it has stretched again. No fault to anyone other than genetics. I spoke to Dr Pollock regarding staff concerns and he was very proactive about my concerns. All issues have been handled very professionally. Now I will update on my tummy, flank and back lipo. At 4 weeks post op I thought I was botched. My tummy had dimples, ripples, and my belly button was crooked. I saw Dr Pollock and he explained I was still very swollen. I honestly thought how can my belly button be crooked due to swelling. Well it was definitely crooked due to swelling. I wish I would have been more patient with my body’s healing. I should have trusted Dr Pollock’s word a bit more instead of spending so much time worried about my results. At 14weeks post op my body has changed soooooooo much. Although I may need a few minor adjustments for my liking I am amazed with my results. Advice to others going to have cosmetic surgery is to be patient and trust your doctor. Updated on 24 May 2021:

Drainless is the way to go! Wish I had done this 20 years ago!

Here’s my 6 mpo pix. I’m 55 and wish I had done this 20 years ago! Yes, it’s major surgery and I didn’t even have any muscle repair. It’s just now getting to the point that I’m not feeling daily weirdness. Dr. Pollock and his staff are amazing. I’m getting a facelift next month. That’s how confident I am with his expertise.

Drainless TT and Flank Lipo

Dr Pollock and his staff were fantastic. My first appointment was virtual due to covid, the second appointment was in person and Dr Pollock and Kim went over all of my questions and were very thorough. We decided on an Extended Drainless tummy tuck and flank lipo. My surgery was 5/29 and I spent the night in the surgery institute and the nurses there were fantastic too. On Sat 5/30 Dr Pollock came into the hospital to change my dressings and answer any further questions I had. He has great bedside manner and you never feel like he’s in a hurry. Recovery is sore, but to be expected, with the drainless process I think I am moving around pretty good and thankful for no gross drains! On Day 6 today and stitches out tomorrow. I am sleeping and resting in a recliner and moving around ok. My results so far look good, minus the bruising and swelling. Excited for 6 months from now when the full results will show without swelling! Updated on 5 Jun 2020: I have been getting messages asking to explain the recovery a bit more, so here it goes! I was so scared about pain and constipation and am pleased to tell you that the experience is honestly not as bad as I had built it up to be! You are going to be sore and you get these little nerve kicks that hurt but go away quickly. My dr uses Celebrex which you take at 7 am and 7 pm and it helps with inflammation and pain, he wants you off the hard stuff as fast as you can. I got to the hospital at 6:00 and was prepped and marked. Note if your tubes are not tied you have to pee in a cup to prove you are not pregnant. This was difficult as you can’t have anything to eat or drink past midnight. It delayed my surgery an hour as I couldn’t go! Once the IV fluids were in I was able to produce! I spent the night at the surgery center for day 1, so glad that I did. I went under about 8:00 and the surgery was 4.5 hours, I was up in my room by 3:00. The dr had me walk that afternoon and night and was up for the bathroom. The hardest part was the barrel roll out of the bed, once up you are good! Very swollen, pain was manageable since I was on an IV. If you are able, stay the night at the clinic you have the surgery, the nurses were so helpful. Day 2 was more painful than day 1. Start colace a few days before procedure, then stay on top of + miralax with the pain pills. I learned that you can take Miralax up to 2-3 times a day if needed. I went to straight Tylenol and Celebrex on day 3. The nerve endings and sides are the most painful, I am black, blue and yellow on sides, butt and upper thighs! I highly recommend sleeping in a recliner with a foot wedge pillow, my husband had to help me get up the first 4 days, I am able to push with my hands and use my feet independently now without squinting! I showered on day 4 and 6, gets a bit easier each day. Had the steristrips removed on Day 7, didn’t hurt as I am still so numb. My belly button is coming along, waiting on the edges to curl in and applying polysporin daily. I was very swollen at the end of the day yesterday after the dr visit and visit to my moms. Flatter this AM after rest. Sneezing, coughing and laughing hurt! Avoid when you can!! Thankful I didn’t sneeze until day 6, I think I would have cried on days 1-4. Updated on 17 Jun 2020: Today is day 20, tried on a bikini for the first time. Have some work to do when I can workout again, but not too shabby! I am walking 2-4 miles a day and moving around pretty good. Started driving and can get up and down much easier. Only complaint is that I am super itchy! Updated on 14 Sep 2020: 12+ week update: still numb in the lower tummy section. Walking or using elliptical 3-4 miles a day. I can’t lift both feet off of the ground for sit ups yet, but can do crunches and planks. The scar is fading faster in back, overall happy with the results.

Wonder Doctor and Staff!!!!

First of all I’ll start off with my stats. Preop I was 167 pounds and I’m 5’5, One month after surgery I’m down to 155 and feeling fabulous. I have a full mommy makeover with Doc Pollock. Let me start off with saying that I’ve had eight consultations and once I met him I knew he was the one. He was the only doctor that pulled me into his office and went over everything with me. I didn’t feel rushed, he was patient, and answered every question I had, it was wonderful!! His office is fabulous as well, answering every question I have for them with all my phone calls before, and after surgery. I had very little swelling. I still have some but that’s normal. I am so very happy so far. The surgery center was great. The nurse overnight took wonderful care of me, and Dr. Pollock was there in the morning to check on me before sending me home. I highly recommend him and his staff they were all wonderful. I’ve never had a flat stomach I’m so very excited!! Thank you so much Doctor Pollock!! Totally worth every penny. My total was just over 17,000. I had a drainless tummytuck, breast left, breast reduction, and 360 Lipo

If I could give 100 stars, I would

Seriously, if I could 100 stars, I would. This man is a genius.I've been researching MMO for years. I'm finally booked a consultation with Dr. Pollock, since he invented the drainless TT, and drains weren't an option for me bc I feared them. I was expecting him to be arrogant and pretentious; but he was just the opposite. He was both humble and knowledgeable. During the consult, He spent over an hour with me explaining the risks and benefits of the surgery. He shared his techniques, and what I can expect. After visiting other PS, my mind kept sending me back to him. I felt safer with him. I also felt he was approachable. I knew if I was going to invest money, time, and pain, I needed to choose someone who was not going to make me feel like an inconvenience if I had questions. His entire staff is simply awesome. Kim and the other gal was always so welcoming duirng my visit. September 27th, I had drainless extended Tummy Tuck, Lipo, and a breast lift. My results are amaaaaaazing, and I couldn't be more please with Him, his staff, and my new look. I was standing upright less than 24hrs after surgery. Even. Post-op, he and his team have treated my after-care great - responding to emails and taking my "post surgery hypochondriasis" seriously even when they know I have nothing to worry about. I'm truly happy. My only complaint is having to wait to get back to lifting weights and cross fit. LOL. But he has no control over that - he's a genius but he's not God. Lol.
