I couldn’t have chosen a better doctor for my procedure, I am incredibly pleased with my results. Dr. Weider, Kimber and the rest of the staff are phenomenal. Having a team with great bedside manner and that is able to preform exceptionally in the operating room was a great relief for me. Dr. Weider is my number one choice and I would encourage anyone to choose him as well.
Dr. Weider changed my life. Not only did him and the team reconstruct my breasts from what felt like a zombie botch job into perfect boobs they did it with care and kindness. Kimber made space for me in their busy schedule to ensure I was cared for even with a tight timeline. I am forever grateful, you gave me back my confidence. Thank you. Pics are still healing but WOW what a difference.
I could not be more please with my results from Explant/Capsulectomy surgery! Dr. Weider and his staff are extremely friendly/professional/thorough/informative/compassionate and made me feel so comfortable before and after my surgery. I did my research before choosing him, but ended up far more impressed than what I read about him prior to meeting him and having my procedure. I cannot recommend this highly skilled doctor enough!!
I cannot speak more highly about Dr. Weider, Kimber and his staff. I had multiple procedures done, and I would choose him again in a heartbeat. Also, so very happy with my results, recovery and aftercare. If I need anything done in the future, he will be the first and only one I call!! He is uber talented!!
As a registered nurse, the most important criterion for selecting a surgeon is patient safety. Dr. Weider, Kimber and the entire OR staff provide excellent care from the consultation through the final post-op appointment. Dr. Weider performed my abdominoplasty 11 years ago and my results are still excellent. I selected Dr. Weider to perform my breast augmentation because I trust the care he provides and he individualizes results based on patient preference. He and Kimber listened to my concerns and desired outcomes and guided me to the decision that was right for my body. I am absolutely thrilled with my results! Menopause dramatically changed the fullness and shape of my breasts. Having a breast augmentation at age 50 is one of the best decisions I have made. My body looks like me again! I feel much more confident and have a renewed sense of excitement for this chapter of life.
I underwent breast augmentation surgery on 1 month ago with Dr. Weider and am very happy!! Longish post coming because I know I was so grateful to all the ladies who took the time to do in depth reviews when I was looking into this surgery. I was almost completely flat before, as my before photo demonstrates. I've wanted boobs ever since I was a teen and all my friends' started growing, but mine stayed as "breast buds." I first looked into a fat transfer with another doctor, who told me I could probably go up to an A. My PCP and other doctor friends promptly shut that idea down, as did Dr. Weider and Kimber (surgery consultant) at my consult (and I am very grateful for that!) I am 24, 5'5 ~115lb and cannot imagine I would have been happy with the lipo, recovery, or end result. At my initial consult, I explained to Kimber & Dr. Weider that I wanted a natural look and still wanted a relatively small chest since I had lived my entire life flat and didn't want to buy new clothes, have trouble shaving my armpits, feel like there was a barrier when hugging someone, sagging, etc. I felt very heard and understood and was not pressured to increase size as I know many are. The consult felt very, well, consultative, and they did a good job of keeping expectations realistic (i.e. explaining that since I have low body fat and very little natural breast tissue, the implants will look a bit implant-y). Surgery went great, and the CRNA and Nurse Katie were WONDERFUL in easing my super emotional fears immediately before and after the procedure. Dr. Weider goes solely off wish pics, took his time with me in the OR and I ended up with 255cc sientra 106 mod + UTM. Recovery was fairly easy, aided by the small implant size and Dr. Weider's skill, experience, and use of the Keller Funnel I think. I was back to light but relatively normal activity within the week. Follow up has been awesome as well. All questions have been very promptly answered over email. I was even able to drop in to have a poking out stitch removed as well as get some more meds for the "nerves waking up" nipple and muscle discomfort that began at ~3 weeks. I do hope that the gap between my breasts closes slightly as the "drop and fluff" process continues, but I think the size is absolutely perfect and wouldn't want a larger implant. All in all, I am super happy and 110% recommend Weider Plastic Surgery to anyone considering a BA. I feel so feminine, sexy, and confident (even in a sports bra and t shirt!) and feel that I received exactly what I asked for. Dr. Weider, Kimber, and staff are truly experienced professionals and I felt safe and supported throughout the entire process. Get the boobs and get them here!!!! Updated on 10 Nov 2022: Almost 4 months out and they’ve definitely done more of the “drop and fluff” and look a little larger. I’m measuring a 32C in Soma bras & I’m still wearing all my same clothes but I’m filling them out and I don’t look top heavy in loose/boxy clothes either. I do feel like they look more “natural” in person than in the photos which emphasize the implant contours, but I knew since I have low body fat and no starting breast tissue that the implants wouldn’t be as disguised. They are fairly soft and squeezable and are really feeling like a part of my body. I have silicone tape on my scars but they’re healing pretty well too. Some days/hours they’re almost invisible and sometimes they’re dark. Massaging the scars has been helping to break up the harder tissue and make them flatter. I am so happy and feel like they look so perfect for my frame. The confidence boost is unreal!!! I even feel sexy when I’m wearing a sports bra and a t shirt. I again can’t say enough good things about Dr. Weider and his whole office.
My experience with Dr. Weider and his staff was absolutely amazing!! From the first time I went for consult and through the surgery and aftercare process, everything was perfect. They always took the time to answer any questions and would just sit and talk to me at my appointments. I never felt rushed and always knew I was in the best hands. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable as well. Felt like I had known them for years. I was very anxious on the day of surgery and everyone involved helped calm my nerves. The anesthesiologist was great as well. Kimber, Dr. Weider's nurse, rocks!!
Dr. Weider as well as his entire staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable and answered every question I had promptly both before and after my procedure. I am beyond grateful for them getting me in so soon and I love my results! Even the surgery nurse and CRNA eased my fears right before the procedure with humor and music! Hands down the best surgical experience and aftercare I’ve ever had!
I’m so in love with my results. The staff and team made the process a breeze. I am extremely grateful for the care and around the clock support I received during this journey. If your considering having some work done, look no further.
Dr.Weider and all his staff are seriously so amazing! My mom used them for the first time over 20 years ago and here I am using them myself for my tummy tuck and I could not be happier with my results. The staff makes you feel so comfortable and are extremely helpful. I will forever be thankful for Dr.Weider for giving me my body back after giving birth to my two boys!
There are situations when the capsules should be removed. These include instances where there are capsular contractures, calcifications or distortion of the breasts due to the capsules. In addition, if a patient has ruptured gel implants, then the capsules should probably be removed. However, if the breasts are soft, and the implants are intact and free of the above problems (capsular contractures, calcifications), then the capsules can generally be left in place.
If you don't have a thickened capsule (capsular contracture) or calcification of the capsule, it is likely that you will not feel or notice the capsules after implant removal. Over time the capsules should shrink and scar down. However, in some circumstances it is advisable to remove the capsules (capsulectomy) which will allow the tissues to heal and the pockets to go away completely. It would be best to discuss this with your plastic surgeon to determine the best plan for you.
The cost to have the implants removed will depend upon several factors. If the capsules need to be removed as well or if you have a ruptured silicone implant, it will add to the expense. In addition, if you need a breast lift, it will of course add to the cost. However, if you have relatively new, intact implants and the capsules are not going to be removed, then you may be able to have the implants removed under local anesthesia. This typically costs about $1500 plus a facility fee. In my operating room in Dallas the facility fee is about $800. If you are having general anesthesia and additional procedures are involved such as removal of the capsules, that will add to the expense.
I have on occasion removed implants under local anesthesia. However, it may be advisable to have the capsule that forms around the implants removed as well. If the capsules are going to be removed, then you will most likely need general anesthesia. The implant pocket will never heal completely unless the capsules are removed. Leaving the capsule in place could put you at risk of fluid collections in the future. Even if the capsules are not completely removed, you will probably be more comfortable with some sedation or general anesthesia.
Each surgeon will have their own recommendations for this. In my practice, we typically recommend that patients sleep on their back for about two weeks. After that, if they have trouble sleeping on their back they can transition to sleeping on their side. However, we recommend using pillows to support your side and breast. It is best to discuss this with your surgeon to find out his or her preferences.
