However, I will tell you not worry yet. 3 weeks after surgery is too early to really start judging the result. Depending on what type of facelift was performed, how much fat grafting was done, and where it was put, all of these nuances can affect your result and healing time. Fat grafting can be unpredictable, unfortunately, I typically wait about 3 months to assess whether or not my fat grafts have been successful. I hope this eases some of your concerns.

Incision location should be chosen based on what you and your surgeon plan to accomplish during your surgery. The key to minimal scarring during a facelift (and any other surgery) is making sure there is a tension free closure and meticulous attention to accurate approximation of the skin edges. The "lifting" during a facelift should be done in the deeper layers of the face, holding all the tension. The skin should be allowed to simply redrape over the incision line and only the excess skin cut away, leaving a completely tension free closure. This will produce a natural appearing refreshed result and not the pulled and glossy appearance that many people are afraid of getting after a poorly performed facelift. Good luck !

This is an unfortunate problem. Packing the wound with gauze twice per day is one way to treat this problem. However, depending on how much dead tissue there is and how deep it is, it may need to be cut out or debrided. The risk here is that the surrounding tissue gets infected and subsequently infects the implant. If that happens, you will likely need to remove the implant. I hope this helps, good luck!

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give you any definitive answers without examining you in person and taking measurements of you breasts. I would start by saying that being 14 years old, your implants are due for an exchange. You have developed some asymmetry based on your pictures, I wonder if you have a tighter capsule on the right side, you might have a bit of contracture there. If your implants are sliding outward, you will definitely need a revision of the lateral pocket to tighten that up and make sure they don't slide anymore. With regard to size, I would hesitate to go too much bigger given your small frame. Your chest/breast dimensions are what dictate what size implants we can place and still look natural and tasteful. Once you try to push the tissue to beyond its limits, you will start to see unwanted changes like thinning of the skin and breast tissue that develope over time and are difficult to fix. Dr. Constantine and his staff was EXCEPTIONAL. I am not one who has ever considered plastic surgery at all. This year in January I made a decision to have a double mastectomy because I was high risk for breast cancer, and they found a mass in October on my right breast. I was nervous but Dr. Constantine and his staff talked to me and gave me comfort during the process. In discussions about the reconstruction I appreciated his honesty and genuine care. Instead of implants I wanted the deep flat but he cared more for health and I truly appreciated that. He took all my concerns serious and the end results are great. No matter how much I exercised or did abdominal exercises, I could not get my lower stomach pooch to go away. I had to find loose clothes to try to hide it so I decided to get a tummy tuck. I had a car wreck that deviated my septum for me about 25 years ago. I finally decided to do something about it, as it had become increasingly difficult to breathe over the years. Not to mention the fact that it was ugly. My septum literally was visible just inside my right nostril. I found Dr. Constantine as a result of divine intervention -- ok, I was referred to him by a doc that didn't want to do it, for whatever reason. But for me, he's a miracle worker. I knew my case was going to be a difficult one, and he confirmed that. Then he said to me, "If I never take the difficult cases, how will I get any better?" He said it would not be perfect but that he thought he could get me a good result. Well, my result was about as close to perfect as is humanly possible. I can't express how incredibly grateful I am that it was Dr. C's office I wound up in. He has the most delightful office staff as well. They make you feel like family. Before I had kids I always had a flat and firm stomach. I was into weight training for a long time and I always maintained the same weight ... After three kids and three c-sections I was left with a tummy that did not belong to me anymore, nor did it match the rest of my body. I had weight loss surgery in 2011 and had excessive neck skin and face sagging . I was very unhappy with the the appearance of my face and turkey neck.
