Sheila Barbarino, MD, FACS

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Barbarino and her staff. She is gorgeous inside and out and helped me find myself again. Explanation: I have cancer and the surgeries that go along with it have taken their tole. Every time I looked in the mirror all I saw was scars and a body and face that I didn't recognize. Call me superficial, and stop reading here if that is the case. But going to Dr. Barbarino and her staff has been an amazing experience. It took several procedures, but I feel like myself again and that has lifted my spirits in a way that I recognize as pre-cancer Barbara! No general anesthesia, which I have had plenty of. But procedures that could be done without it and I am thrilled with the results, so is my husband. She listens to you and so do Africa (breast tattoos, eyeliner, brows, etc) and Betty (facial clinician and skin specialist). I know this may sound strange but it's actually fun to go there even though for me it is a long drive. Anyway for those of you out there who may have had a reconstruction or other cancer treatments, try her!

I’ve been considering surgery for years because my eyelids were getting droopier each year, but it wasn’t until my optometrist and dermatologist also recommended it as a good option for me that I started seriously considering it. Around the same time a friend had the same surgery done by a different doctor, and I was amazed by the difference in her appearance. After reading a lot of reviews on RealSelf and elsewhere I decided to book a consult with Dr. Barbarino to discuss my options. I was excited but very concerned about what the experience would entail and whether or not the results would look natural and improve my vision. I got my surgery done in April, and have been thrilled with the results. She also did a browpexy which helped even out my brows. I’d highly suggest getting that at the same time if you need it especially if you’re doing general anesthesia as I did. The care and professionalism I experienced was top notch. Also, I was able to get insurance to cover the upper part because my vision was affected so much. I would add that I am extremely glad that I took two weeks off of work, as I needed that entire time to recover. After that, I had to wear concealer to cover the bruises for video calls, and it was about six weeks before I could go back to my regular make up routine or feel comfortable enough to resume my usual social schedule. I can see much better now, and I look 10 years younger, according to friends who know I’ve had the surgery and comparing my photos. Other people who don’t know just say I look refreshed and rested, and it is so much easier to apply make up now. I wish I had had this surgery done several years ago, but I’m so glad I finally took the plunge and did it this year! Dr. B and her team are great and I felt very safe and comfortable with everything throughout the entire process. She was also good about insisting on multiple follow up visits, which I appreciated more after the fact, and suggesting some related non-surgical procedures and skincare treatments that have really helped improve my overall appearance, which is giving me a lot more confidence. I’d highly recommend Dr. B and her team!

Dr. Barbarino and her whole staff in ATX are wonderful. She is not just a skilled doctor, but a skilled artist who takes your concerns seriously and is incredibly generous with her time and office resources. Dr. B, Africa and Betty are all knowledgeable, personable, and never pushy with treatment plans. They truly get to know you, listen to what you want, then provide you with information and options without any pressure.

I was looking for someone who could help me age gracefully and I have found the perfect partnership with Dr. Barbarino! We discussed my current concerns in-depth and came up with a liquid facelift (a thread lift is my next move). Her technique is truly fantastic! She worked fast but was constantly checking her work. I could tell the difference after leaving, but I look so good now after fully healing! My jowls are gone in video calls and my cheeks look higher. I feel beautiful and confident again. I cannot wait to continue working with her! She has a client for life.

Dr. Barbarino is amazing! I told her what I was looking for and she took the time to walk me through various options. We decided a thread lift would be the best option for me. It was fast, minimal recovery, and gave me the results I was looking for. I'm so happy I did it! Dr. Barbarino has a great personality and I always enjoy being around her and her staff. Her credentials are also impressive and I trust her implicitly. I also get Xeomin and filler treatments from her, and am very pleased with those, as well. I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Barbarino! From the minute that I met her, I trusted her. She has a great eye for creating a really natural look, which for me is very important. As I have aged (49yo), so have my lips. I wanted a “freshening” up and fuller lips and now I LOVE my new young, refreshed looking face.

Dr Barbarino did an amazing job for my blepharoplasty and browpexy. She took the time at consultation to go in-depth about the surgery to make sure any questions or concerns you had were answered. After surgery, later that day Dr. Barbarino personally called me to see how I was doing. I’ve never had a surgeon call me themselves to check up on me! From the very beginning I trusted Dr. Barbarino expertise, during post-op I was pretty excited to see the results but the day I got my stitches out and saw the before and after photos I was blown away on how good it looked. Overall I’m definitely going to recommend her to anyone interested!

I love Dr Barbarino! Along with her studies and degrees, she is an amazing artist, incredibly intelligent, and a kind person who enjoys making me feel and look my best. She has wonderful events letting us know the newest and greatest upcoming procedures out there. Betty, a part of her skilled team and skin care expert, is amazing with facials and always make me feel right at home.
