Thank you Dr. Gay for being willing to use prf when I wasnt able to find it anywhere else. It was exactly what I was looking for. I was uncertain whether it would work out for me but this has given me the assurance I need
I had a lower blepharoplasty done by a different plastic surgeon 3 1/2 months ago. Dr. Gay is helping me deal with bad complications after a different surgeon performed lower blepharoplasty. It has been an extremely difficult recovery and the original surgeon has not been supportive. I did not expect this at all. Dr. Gay has been helping me in dealing with significant medical as well as aesthetic complications that resulted from the original procedure that was done by someone else. At about 7 weeks post-op I began to panic about the persistent/worsening complications, and after the original surgeon continuously dismissed my concerns, I went to Dr. Gay. He is helping me to deal with the complications including chemosis, eyelid malposition with asymmetry, and eyelid retraction. Dr. Gay is very knowledgeable and I can always tell he has put a lot of careful consideration into everything he has done to help me. He is also very humble, and does not allow his ego to interfere with what is best for me, so I may move toward a better outcome. He has been conservative with my treatment, giving me 5-FU injections every 3 weeks for a minimum of 4-6 months to try to gently break up scar tissue and see if the lower lids will settle into better positions. It has been helpful to have a plan of action to not completely lose hope. Dr. Gay took the time to review the records from my previous surgeon, and at every appointment he spends a lot of time with me, has listened to my concerns and experience and tears, and answers all of my questions thoughtfully. I highly recommend Dr. Gay as a beacon of light in a horrible situation. His bedside manner is helping me to regain the trust that I completely lost in doctors after my experience with the other surgeon. I would highly recommend that anyone considering lower blepharoplasty choose an OCULOPLASTIC surgeon like Dr. Gay, who specializes in the eyes. I know nothing is guaranteed, but this experience has taught me that these problems are much easier to prevent than to correct, so it is of the utmost importance to select an eye expert among plastic surgeons. I wish I could go back in time and have Dr. Gay perform my original procedure. But since I can't, at least I can be grateful that he is helping me navigate a bad situation.
Stellar from consultation, surgery, 2 week post operative consult at the time of this initial post. I cannot express the gratitude enough of improved sight and overall eye function at this point. I have eight week out post op appt made and can already see so much better already being told that it will only improve! I had lower lids and ptosis done at same time. This wonderful Doctor does fine work, and is highly regarded not by just myself but also by my Primary Care Physician. He, and his staff are completely down to earth, practical with me, honestly letting me know of procedure, expectations and outcomes, and aftercare. They have begun a positive change in my life. Thank you so very much everyone on his team and staff.
I never thought I would ever want to use facial fillers. Too scared both of the injections and possible complications. But looking like I was tired all the time overcame my fears. I did a lot of research and found Dr. Gay. I love the results! He listened, he was very conservative in his approach and I am happy with results.
This year as a result of cancer treatment, the chemo damaged the soft tissue behind my eyeball leaving it recessed. To the rescue came Dr. David Gray of Austin Oculofacial Plastics! I was diagnosed as needing orbitotomy with implant. Although this situation was a new one for Dr. Gay, his skill, expertise, and perseverance prevailed! Following a series of adjustments, the eyeball has returned to its pre-cancer position. My vision was never compromised but only the ability of my eyes to work together in focusing. Thus a new chapter was added to his accomplishments! I could have not been more pleased with Dr. Gay and would highly recommend him to needing his services. Not to mention that he and his staff are extremely personable making one feel like family. Keep up your excellent work Dr. Gay!!!
After researching extensively for this type of MD for my first time injection, Dr. Gay did not disappoint in any way! He is patient, professional, highly skilled, and most importantly, a good listener. I am highly satisfied with the results and plan on being a loyal client. His comfortable office and professional staff also helped to make it a positive experience - I highly recommend Dr. Gay.
Dr. David Gay did micro-needling and PRP on me. It was a great experience all around. He explained everything before and during the procedure, which made me feel very comfortable. It was a painless visit. My pores are significantly smaller now, just the results I was hoping for. I highly recommend Dr. Gay.
Dr. David Gay was very professional, and friendly. I felt very comfortable, and was incredibly happy with my results. He was wonderful at explaining the process, which put me at ease— and I highly recommend him.
Dr. Gay explained everything very well, made me feel comfortable, and provided excellent care. Because of the hair removal procedure I had to return multiple times and each time the quality of care was great.
I went to Dr. Gay to do multiple laser hair removal treatments to shape my beard line. He did an excellent job, made me feel very comfortable, and was very professional. I would absolutely recommend him.
When considering non-surgical approaches usually a combination of approaches will give you the best results. AccuTite will help reduce the bags. Adding Morpheus8 or laser to achieve additional skin tightening will enhance your results. Tear trough filler would be the final step to improving your lower eyelids.
I would not recommend AccuTite for this issue. The localized lump may improve with AccuTite but it won't fully resolve your issue. If you are going to spend time and money resolving this issue you would be better off have surgery to remove the fat. A qualified surgeon will be able to directly remove the fat and restore a normal contour to the area. An approach from inside the eyelid will hide any scar.
Yes your scars can be improved. Piercing scars tend to be indented and much more noticeable than scars from cuts. A scar revision is basically trading a more noticeable scar for a less noticeable scar. Non-surgical treatments like scar cream, subcision, and microneedling don't work as well for piercing scars. A small scar revision surgery can be done in-office under local anesthesia. Cost can vary widely based on the area you live. I recommend calling the office to get pricing. The type of surgeon should be a doctor who operates on the face such as oculofacial plastics, ENT facial plastics, or a general plastic surgeon.
Thanks for your question. The short answer is yes. You would be a good candidate for a lip lip. The filler in your lips looks good and helps a lot, but a lip lift will give you longer lasting results. You may still want to use filler to increase your lip volume, but your lip shape and appearance will be improved by the lip lift. Your skin quality looks good. You will want to have enough removed to have a good appearance, but be careful about having too much removed. The increased tension by being too aggressive could increase the scar and tension on the ala of the nose.
Thanks for your question. It can be confusing with so many treatment options and plans. Surgeons tend to get the best results with the procedures they perform the most often and with the technique they most commonly use. Your surgeon may get excellent results with the proposed technique. If you talk to 10 surgeons you may get 10 different approaches. There are many different techniques that all lead to excellent results. I don't often do fat transfer to the eyelids. I don't feel that the technique is precise enough for reliable results. I find filler is more reliable if needed after surgery. Fat transposition during your blepharoplasty should be able to fill most of your hollow areas.
