Dr. Melvin Elson is a class act. Truly one of the greatest physicians out there. My family and I have been patients of his for over 30 years. I have been seeing Dr. Elson for over 20 years!! He is always on top of the best procedures and knows what is best for me. He literally wrote the book on skin care, and has mentored and taught Physicians and nurses through the world. 5 out of 5 stars Radiesse
I was so happy to find Dr. Elson (again). He was actually my doctor 20 years ago in Nashville, but now he is practicing a short (scenic) drive away in the countryside. I first found him from a magazine (Harper's Bazaar I think) article about botox. He is an expert who has lectured around the world and he has not lost his touch. He is thoughtful, conservative and has a great eye. You will come...
5 out of 5 stars Rosacea Treatment
Dr. Elson represents the rare mix of a world-renowned Dermatologist who is not only the absolute master of his craft but who is also a most caring, personable and approachable physician most patients can only hope for and few ever find. He is a soft-spoken, quiet professional who exudes lightheartedness, warmth and calmness; one who listened carefully to my concerns and explained the issues on hand in easy to understand language. After examining my face and asking pertinent questions, Dr. Elson advised me to stop all eight (8) products previously prescribed by the other dermatologist and to only use Cetaphil for cleansing and the 3 La Peau skin care products (Night, Day, Eyes). He also prescribed Azelex cream to apply as needed. Being of the mistaken belief that “more is better”, I was a bit skeptical at first but I followed Dr. Elson’s instructions. Lord and behold, within 2 weeks I could see an amazing improvement on my cheeks. The redness and inflammation had disappeared and the pustules and papules decreased in number, severity and size each day. Today my skin is normal, smooth, and healthy again. I owe Dr. Elson a huge debt of gratitude for not only healing the Rosacea-Acne but for restoring my self-esteem as well. Dr. Elson is not after money. His only concern is to help patients. My highest recommendation is hereby extended. M. B., Clarksville, TN

The most common medical procedure in the world now involves the use of botulinum toxin which is available under 3 names--Botox, Dysport and Xeomin. It is used for improving the appearance of frown lines, smoothing the forehead lines, crow's feet, bunny lines on the nose, lip lines, neck lines, neck bands, decolette uneven skin and redefining the contour...
Almost everyone reads a label on a cosmetic product but what do the words really mean?1. Retards aging: contains a sunscreen2. Dermatologist tested: a dermatologist was paid to review it--nothing about results3. Data on file: does not tell whether positive or negative4. Moisturizing: contains water5. Fragrance free: may still contain chemicals to mask odors of substances in the productAnd remember ingredients are listed in the order of their concentration--the first is the most and it is...
The FDA has recently published side-effects related to filling materials, supposedly as a warning to patients. There are some very important facts that patients need to understand about the side-effects of fillers. Certainly there are side-effects from these materials just as every medical procedure has the possibility of side-effects; however, let's look at the facts. One of the most serious listed by FDA is blindness, which is not a side-effect of fillers per se. It...
