5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck

50 Years Old, 2 Children, Ugly Abdomen - Memphis, TN

Dr. Gbulie is nothing short of totally awesome. I found Dr. Gbulie through a friend whose sister was currently being seen by him. She praised him so I said let me look him up. I made an appointment that same day and was seen within several weeks. I have had two procedures done, my first procedure was liposuction with fat injections into my buttocks. Loving it! My second procedure was a tummy tuck. I was a little apprehensive prior to the first procedure (liposuction/fat injections) and after I arrived home I asked myself what have I done. I took the pain medication on the first day only, I really didn't need it after that. (I have a high tolerance for pain, but I really wasn't in much pain either). The recovery was pretty easy and I was back at work within a week. My results are nothing short of fabulous. Nine months after my first procedure I was back on the table for my tummy tuck. I was a nervous wreck, apprehensive times 1000. The one thing Dr. Gbulie said to me was focus on six weeks from now. That was what I needed to hear. I had the tummy tuck done on a Friday and by Monday I was off all the pain medication. The hardest part for me after the tummy tuck was getting in a comfortable position in the bed since there where I spent the majority of my time after surgery (I followed the doctor's strict orders to get up and walk every 2 hours, honestly I was probably up every 90 minutes and I would walk for 5 minutes and then stand (supported) for another 5-10 minutes). I was walking upright after the first week and I was back at work after 2 1/2 weeks. I didn't drive to work the first week and I was walking a little slower than normal. As of today, I am 5 months post op and haven't had any complications, just fabulous results. My only problem, if you consider this a problem, is the incision itching. I am currently using Bio-oil which helps tremendously. My goal in going through with these procedures was to be, look and feel fabulous at 50. From the comments I have received, my goal has definitely been attained. Every time I look in the mirror I am so excited that the extra skin and fat is not longer there and when I am sitting, I can no longer grab that roll of fat. Honestly, I feel like I am 30. I have referred two of my friends to Dr. Gbulie and they have had excellent results as well. If you are looking for a great plastic surgeon, then your search is over. I felt like I was his only patient, he gave me the one on one time and attention I was looking for, he answered all my questions and gave the results I have wanted since the birth of my last child almost 19 years ago. I am going to Cozumel next week and I can't wait to walk in to beach in my bikini!!! If I were asked to rate Dr. Gbulie on a scale from 1 to 10, he is definitely a 10.
