Why does abdominal etching surgery takes 1 hour?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Liposuction has become a needlessly confusing topic. At its most basic, Liposuction involves the removal of fat from under the skin (NOT from inside the belly) by having it sucked into stainless steel tubes (cannulas). ANY such fat removal qualifies as "liposuction" and there are many ways to get the fat to become more "liquidy" BEFORE it is sucked into the cannula (such as Heat (laser lipo), Ultrasound (VASER), Vibrating Water jets (Aqualipo) and Power Assisted (PAL).

The mere removal of the fat with lipo, depending on your ethnicity, skin condition, body area and age WILL result in some overlying skin shrinkage. The fat removal, if done well, will improve your appearance and this is the way 90% of liposuction is done.

A much more invasive way is to literally unveil the fat masking the muscles, creating a much more muscular you by using HiDef / 4D/ Total Definer / Liposculpture, a techniques which takes longer because it is a sculpting procedure more than just a removing operation. Fat is ALSO added to the pectoral muscles in men and to deficient areas of the buttocks, as needed, in women and men, creating athletic appearing figures. The results can be breathtakingly impressive.

Have bad rippling and want another reduction, lift & maybe small implants (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

If you hold a breast implant on the palm of your hand and tilt your hand at nearly 90 degrees the upper portion of the implant WILL ripple and create folds. You can replicate this with a Ziplock back full of water. The same exact thing happens when a surgeon places a breast implant into a breast which lacks sufficient skin thickness and soft tissue coverage with would otherwise cover these ripples up.
For this reason, implant must be chosen in conformance with the availability of the breast tissues to cover them. Putting large implants in small women is a guarantee for ripply breasts. Saline implants are heavier and more rippling than silicone breasts. When not enough coverage tissue is available, it must be created by either using a biological or man-made mesh (such as Stratice) between the implant and the overlying breast skin or by grafting your fat into the overlying skin and tissue to thicken them. Neither one of these procedures are cheap and you need to fully understand their possible complications.

Can a slimmer person get a Brazilian butt lift?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It sounds like you may be a great candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift.

A Brazilian Butt Lift involves liposuction of the lower back and hips to define and bring out two round hemispheric buns and then to augment them with your own fat. Such an operation has much nicer results in slimmer not in obese women.

The key, as in everything we do in life, is to pick a great surgeon. One who would listen to you and who has the experience and sense of artistry to create the best result possible.

Would I be a good candidate for liposuction? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Although you do provide very helpful photos you did not provide your before Smartlipo photos for comparison nor do you state WHY you are unhappy with your current result. Without seeing your initial photos at the beginning of your journey of self-improvement it is hard to guess just how much the smartlipo took you or if it was the best option at that time.

At this point you appear to have residual fat pockets both above and below the belly button and excess skin above and below the belly button. If you are bothered by the residual fat only and not by the loose skin then a revision liposuction may be needed by an experienced Plastic surgeon. However, liposuction is NOT a substitute to a tummy tuck which will narrow your waist and remove all the loose skin. This may have been the procedure you should have had instead of the Smartlipo but without an examination of old photos it is but a guess. If you want total tummy flatness then a well performed Tummy Tuck may be the answer you are looking for.

Can saline implants be partially deflated for purpose of wanting smaller breasts instead of an explant?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Sakine breast implants have a valve and opening in the tip of the implant through which we fill them. Once they are out under the breast the fill tube is removed and the opening is pushed close. To change size you would have to have surgery to go through the breast to the valve, open it and either add or remove saline. This cannot done by putting a needle through the skin into theimsvt which would cause gradual deflation of the implant.

Be aware that removing a significant amount of saline from the implant or underfilling them would result in implants creasing and rippling as well as to a much higher rate of early shell weakening and implant rupture.

Will bottoming out progress and get worse during pregnancy? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You DO have bottoming out of the breasts. This happens as a combination of the use of a breast fold incision, over dissection of the bottom pocket either by the surgeon or by you ( by not wearing a bra and allowing the implants to undermine and and push they way lower) and as an inevitable act of larger implants and of gravity.

There is nothing that needs to be done now as your breasts sizer is still changing. Correction of the implant pocket should be done about 6 months after you are done breasts feeding and or your breasts stopped producing milk and have returned to s stable shape. At that time you may require a pocket correction and a possible breast lift.

Is a lift included in a breast reduction or do I have to ask for it?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

A Breast Reduction is a Breast Lift which makes the breasts smaller. You must be clear on just how much smaller your breasts will be and the scar placement. I would suggest you meet your surgeon again and have all your questions fully answered.

Can I really not go to a full D?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Your question brings up several topics all of which must be addressed and understood.

D CUP ASPIRATIONS - While most discussions about breast sizes use bra cups as a comparison and communication tool, doing so is woefully inaccurate because a cup size is NOT a real measurement applicable across all bra manufacturers. So, unless all women use the SAME bra comparing cup sizes is notoriously inaccurate as a comparison tool AND As a predictive tool in saying how large a certain implant would make a given breast.

CORRECTING THE SAGGING BREAST - A sagging, deflated breast is unattractive and should be addressed before focusing on cup size. (Large deflated sagging breasts are hardly more attractive than smaller sagging breasts of the same appearance. So performing a Breast Lift (MASTOPEXY) should be done with addition of volume (Breast Implant) to reach an ideal compromise of volume, projection and perkiness (out of a bra).

CHOOSING THE IDEAL IMPLANT - ALL breast implants ripple and crease - some more than others. To avoid seeing such ripples, it is essential to pick an implant which is completely covered by your breast tissue. In this way, your tissues cover the ripples allowing for natural results. IF the width of the chosen implant is wider than the available breast tissue coverage, the ripples WILL be visible and palpable. So, instead of focusing on volume (cc's) you should be shown the 10 or so implants (with a variety of shapes and volumes) which could be placed under YOUR breast tissues and produce a nice result. A better way, is to have 3D imaging (VECTRA by Canfield) which can SHOW you what each implant MAY look like in your breast and the overall breast from every possible angle. (No buyer's regret and No disappointments).

In summary, you have the makings of GREAT looking breasts if you understand the thinking and planning behind it.

Lipo and BBL first or tummy tuck first? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Respectfully, I truly wonder you are comparing yourself to with a figure that is as nice as yours. I would be one happy and lucky Plastic surgeon if I had more women that looked as great as you.

In my opinion, you could have stunning results with HiDef Liposuction (which removes fat while accentuating your muscles and curves) with fat transfer to the buttocks (BBL). The key is not to assume, but to make sure you and your surgeon understand your goals and are able to reach them. This requires clear communication between you not just a discussion how much it taken off but rather what is left behind and how what is left behind looks. With both parties understanding each other you are sure to get the result you want. And for s figure like yours it should be rather easy to do.

Is it a bad idea to fly from the UK to the US for BBL surgery?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

BBL involves converting flat, indistinctive buttocks into attractive, round and distinctive. This is done by liposuctioning around the buttocks making them rounder and then grafting the necessary volume of fat into them to make them as prominent as you and your surgeon would like.

Unfortunately fat survival depends not only on how the fat was removed and grafted but also on the compression and shear forces placed on the buttocks after surgery while blood vessels slowly grow into the fat and nourish it reliably. Many surgeons ask that you not sit on the buttocks for 2-4 weeks to maximize fat survival. Taking long flights shortly after surgery is not a good idea. However, if you decided to stay here longer after yiur surgery there is no reason why you could not have your surgery in the US.

Love my results thus far - this experience has changed my life

If you are looking for a plastic surgeon who is truly knowledgeable, caring, personable, honest and respectful, then you will be pleased with Dr Peter Aldea. My surgery went well, and I was pleased with the outcome day one post op and was not in much pain at all even after the anesthesia wore off. No opiates were required. After my first lymphatic massage, I had a nickel size thin layer of skin peel off my upper arm just above my incision when I removed my compression garment. That situation showed me how much Dr Aldea and his staff cared about me not just as a patient but as a person. When I called to check in and share what happened, Dr Aldea had me to come into the office immediately to assess my situation and provided me and my husband with guidance on what to do to ensure proper wound care. My incision was not compromised and there was no real concern if I followed Dr Aldea’s care instructions and kept the office updated. The small skin tear looked worse than it was, so I did not freak out. I continued to do exactly what Dr Aldea instructed me to do and within a month in a half the nickel size tear was healed and my incisions on both arms were healing very well. Dr Aldea took care of me every step of the way and assured me we were in this together. Whenever I had a question Lily was right there to take my call or text and gave me a quick response from Dr Aldea no matter what day or time it was that I texted. There was no waiting around for hours or the next day to get a response. If I had any concerns on the weekend or after hours, Lily was just a text or phone call away for whatever I needed and for that I am grateful!! The patient care and customer service the office provided exceeded my expectation. I LOVE my results thus far. I understand the healing process takes six months to a year and I am only a couple months post op, but I can tell anyone, I have no regrets. All I can say is, this one surgical procedure and experience has changed my life, and I am forever grateful to Dr Aldea at Cosmetic Surgery of Memphis and his staff who were always pleasant with every interaction. I highly recommend Dr Peter Aldea. You will be in safe hands.

Absolutely awesome.

Dr. Aldea is awesome. He just gets it! He was honest with me about the procedures. He talked to me about my goals. What I was wanting, what I would need in order to achieve those results. he doesn’t just see cosmetic surgery as a job. This is a passion for him, contouring bodies. Each surgery is like a work of art for him. Each of us is a new and blank canvas and he is the artist. I am only two weeks postop from my first procedure and I’m already feeling great, loving the new shape the contours of my body I’m no longer a rectangle. I have some feminine shape. Shape I didn’t even have before having kids!! I am a whole new me and so glad I found Dr. Aldea. Just as importantly Lilly his office manager is phenomenal always available to answer questions, extremely knowledgeable, very fluid and flexible. With my job and my timeline somethings were extremely compressed and no matter what issue arose, Lilly was able to find a solution and solve the problem and make the day that much better. It didn’t matter what time of day or night I needed to reach her, She always went out of her way to be there to answer questions to just provide a listening ear and to be a good friend. I would 100% recommend Dr. Aldea and his team!!!! They truly are the best!!!!
