Great safe experience, lipo to the flanks, back & upper/lower abdomen

Dr Mason was very nice and knowledgeable. Very attentive and answered every question I had whether it was small or big. He gave me a super natural look. I had lipo to the flanks , back , upper/ lower abdomen, and hip dip fat transfer. Very little bleeding after surgery and I only had to take 1 pain pill durning my whole recovery . I'm two weeks post op and you can barely see my lipo holes....

All I wanted was symmetry to be more comfortable in my own skin

My right breast was a 34D & my left breast was a 34B. All I wanted was symmetry to be more comfortable in my own skin. Dr. Gardner showed me my options, answered all my questions truthfully & listened to my wants and needs. I decided on a unilateral breast reduction on my right side. I am so thankful for the work Dr. Gardner did & the results were better than I ever imagined....

165 Q&A

Q: What are my options for removing excess fat in the hips and love handles after pregnancy? (photo)
Answered by Dr. GardnerApril 24, 2024

A: Liposuction with skin tightening to your low back with sculpting into your upper back would help bring out your natural hour glass figure and remove those stubborn fat deposits on your hips. The surgery for that amount of limited Liposuction would take about 1-1.5 hours.

Q: 5 years post tummy tuck and liposuction - what can be done to improve the contour of my hips, thighs and butt? (photos)
Answered by Dr. GardnerApril 24, 2024

A: For the excess fat around hips, and lateral scars that can be easily sculpted away with Liposuction. It would be approximately 1-1.5 hours of Liposuction with consideration for skin tightening and Renuvion, which heats and contracts the skin.

Q: Surgery revision for diastasis repair needed - sutures causing breathing problems need to be removed.
Answered by Dr. DealJanuary 22, 2024

A: You could certainly remove the sutures, and this may provide relief. But sometimes scar tissue may develop which will hold the repair intact even if the sutures are removed. It is reasonable to try to not only repair your liposuction contour or regularities, but also release the sutures and see if overtime your symptoms improve.

Q: Gallbladder and diastasis recti issues. Can this prevent me from getting a tummy tuck? Should I do the TT first?
Answered by Dr. DealDecember 1, 2023

A: These are two completely different issues that should be addressed separately. And the gallbladder absolutely be addressed first. Hopefully they can fix this laparoscopically. If you end up with a large right upper quadrant abdomen scar from a gallbladder removal, it can affect the ability to do a safe tummy tuck. Once you were well, healed and symptom-free, then I would advise the diastasis repaired with the tummy tuck.

Q: Would liposuction improve the appearance of my excess stomach fat or would I need a tummy tuck? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. GardnerSeptember 27, 2023

A: Hi emily58,
Based on your photos and background information I think you would be best suited with an abdominoplasty with liposuction. As you mentioned I think you'd end up with excess skin if you did lipo alone. Now, nobody has a crystal ball and can predict the outcome of lipo alone but in my experience after having 2 children and having a BMI of 28 I think you would be better suited with lipo360 and an abdominoplasty. This procedure will address excess core fat(back, flanks, axilla, upper/lower abdomen, mons), loose skin, muscle separation and stretch marks below the belly button. Again, I'm not saying you couldn't "get away" with a lesser procedure....I'm just giving my recommendation. I hope this help. Good luck!
