One of the best doctors i have ever been to. He sat and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Not only is he a nice doctor but so is the people he works with. I had a breast reduction that went horriblly wrong and went to him for a 2nd consultation. He ended up doing a mastectomy and than implants.

Both breasts had severe atrophy due to multiple pregnancies and 5+ cases of mastitis. My motivation was to get my pre-pregnancy breast shape back and help boost my confidence. I decided to go with the teardrop shaped implants and I was very pleased with the result. They are very natural in appearance and give somewhat of an athletic look.

Dr. Shashikant was wonderful. He spent time answering all of my questions and listened to exactly what I wanted. He explained all my options and helped me determine was was perfect for me. Dr. Shashikant was so easy to talk to and ask questions of. I could not be more pleased with how my procedure went, the after care, and my end result.

I went to see Dr. Shashikant to help reverse the signs of aging under my eyes. After speaking with him, he suggested a filler for under my eye area that would give me a more brighter appearance. He injected Juvederm below my eyes to fill the hollows and I am so pleased with the results. Dr. Shashikant did an amazing job on my tired looking eyes! I would highly recommend anyone who wants a more younger appearance to see him. This was my first experience with fillers so I was nervous but now I'm hooked! I feel much more confident in my appearance. He gave me the exact look I was going for. I was also incredibly impressed at his suggestions. If your looking for a perfectionist you need to see Dr. Shashikant.

Wanted a more youthful/refreshed look. Yes, it was worth doing. Problem after surgery with one eye having a slight droop but issue was addressed and resolved. Dr. Shashikant followed the healing process with detail and ensured that the correct measures were taken for a successful outcome. He always took time with me to explain what would be done, possible complications and what outcome could be expected. Never felt rushed and he was always prompt in returning my phone calls with questions regarding my surgery after care.

I couldn't be more pleased with the results I got from my breast implants 2 years ago. It helped me wear clothes that were all fitting terribly because I had basically no breast tissue left after 3 babies and being relatively lean overall. I was 39 when I got the implants. Helped me look great and I would definitely recommend Dr. Shashikant!

Due to longstanding low back pain, continuing after two spine surgeries, my spine surgeon suggested that a breast reduction would be helpful and referred me to Dr Mark Shashikant, at the Fort Belvoir Army Hospital. Dr Shashikant saw me quickly and at my convenience. He ensured that the pre-op went smoothly, and that the day of surgery was stress-free. The surgery was indeed very helpful in reducing my back pain, and was also cosmetically enhancing. Note - I entered $2,000 as the cost of the procedure because a dollar figure was demanded by the 'realself' program. $2,000 was the military health system's price for cosmetic breast reduction at the time. In that my case was indicated by medical necessity, I actually received the operation as a fully covered benefit.

I've always been a bit more developed than my peers, which became a real issue as I got older. Not just physically, but emotionally as well. I experienced chronic back and neck pain and it wasn't uncommon for me to "double-up" my bras just for extra support. Exercise was a struggle and even walking caused pain. So I decided a breast reduction would be the right course of action, something I don't regret! I no longer have back or neck pain and am able to exercise to my hearts content with only one sports bra for support. My self-esteem was also boosted, as I was no longer self-conscious of my larger bust. Some draws backs of this procedure are the recovery time (I was walking after a couple of weeks, but it took me 6 months to get back to my original activity level of intense movement) and mild scarring, though with proper care these fade with time. All in all, the pros far outweighs the cons.

At the time of my surgery, I was a 39 year old mother of three with separation of the abdominal muscles and excess fat and skin on my abdomen. After a consult with Dr. Shashikant, I felt very comfortable with his ability to satisfy my plastic surgery needs. I had rectus diastasis repair (repair of abdominal muscles) and tummy tuck in 2013 by Dr. Shashikant. I have never before been as pleased with my body the way that I am now!!! At almost 50, my eyelids were severely droopy. Not only did it look awful, I also had trouble seeing clearly. I wanted to get this fixed but was a bit afraid of the surgery and possible risks/outcomes. Dr. Shashikant was awesome with his funny yet warm personality. He immediately put me at ease, clearly explained possible options (e.g. forehead lift vs. eyelid surgery) and also very honestly discussed risks. The surgery went great and I had a very speedy recovery (I recommend the use of Anika Montana before and after surgery). I can see clearly now and you cannot tell that I ever had surgery and not just great genes. I highly recommend Dr. Shashikant!
