1 out of 5 stars Eyelid Surgery

Horrific experience...scarred for life!

I had a blephroplasty performed by Dr. Vagley and it was a horrible outcome. First of all, I now realized I never really needed this surgery at all. My eyes are now uneven, one of the eyelids are thicker than the other which is a result of him removing too much tissue on one eye. I returned for follow ups crying about the results but he wasn't interested.

1 out of 5 stars Breast Augmentation

Bilateral Breast Augmentation 375cc Over Muscle - 5'4 - Petite - 27 Yrs Old - Pittsburgh, PA

Horrible experience. I unfortunately went off of one recommendation instead of looking up more reviews online. I went in hoping to place the implant under the muscle since I am thin and petite, and do not have much breast tissue, but he told me he would only do over... and over is the ONLY way to go (in his eyes). Even up until the day before surgery I asked if I could go under but he said no. I was young at the time, and once I found out I was approved for financing I didn't want to risk losing it if I tried another surgeon. I was so caught up in the excitement of having larger breasts that I lost sight of the repercussions of using a bad Doctor. Looking at many reviews online, and even watching the shows on television, you always see the Doctors draw on you before surgery. He drew nothing. Maybe this is okay, but it didn't turn out okay. He didn't use dissolvable stitches either. When getting them removed, he tugged on them and ripped them out very quickly. It was painful and made little holes which bled for days. I still believe this is why the scarring is so severe. I've grown from the experience and now know how powerful the internet can be. If you look up this Doctor now, you will see he has 15 malpractice cases against him, and all reviews are very poor and agree to stay far from him. I wish I knew what I do now. But the next Doctor I will use, I will research and learn from the terrible mistakes this Doctor did. Please, PLEASE do not use him. I have severe keloid scarring that is very long, even though he used saline implants... which technically should have smaller incisions. I get shooting pains in the scar even to this day. Still itchy, too. My scars are NOT in the crease, and they were like this since day 1. I've only known and have seen my implants with huge scars towards the bottom of them. My implants have bottomed out, and the pockets he made are too large - so my breasts shift to the side causing pain without a bra. Whoever you use, please do your research heavily before committing.

5 out of 5 stars Tummy Tuck

Loving my new look..

After searching the numerous website I stumbled upon PIPS (Pittsburgh Institute of Plastic Surgery or http://www.pipstreet.com/). I really like that fact that Dr. Vagley deals with his patients directly, after my initial contact with his office over the phone; I went into his office and he clearly let me know where he stood with regards to performing a tummy tuck at my current weight. He definitely knows what he is doing and I look forwarded to showcasing his work!
