A hidden gem, mega talented and pleasant

I have to review Dr. Solomon because I see so little reviews and some of these other doctors here have dozens and hundreds (many undeserving) and Dr. Solomon is top of the line, a hidden gem. I traveled several times from New York City to Philadelphia to see him. Why would anyone in NYC bother going to a plastic surgeon in Philadelphia when NYC is practically the capital of plastic surgeons? I won't get into the details of what possessed me at first, and anyway it is not important, what's important is I came back again and again and scheduled my revision surgeries with him, specifically a breast lift revision and a stomach lipo revision. He made such huge improvements that my original plastic surgeon even refused to touch telling me no improvement is possible. Dr. Solomon proved him wrong. Dr. Solomon has an excellent eye for what will work and won't work. He turned down a few of my requests because he said it just won't look good or wont work, and he still significantly improved my overall look. He's just a great and extremely talented doctor, a great plastic surgeon, his staff is great, he takes his time with you, his staff takes his time with you, he consults via email if needed, he's high tech but he doesn't do anything trendy, he has excellent judgment on which way to go. It just feels like a luxury high end experience somehow, and yet he is so low key and sincere and just seemed like a great human being, which is so rare in top plastic surgeons I've seen. Anyway, I can go on and on singing his praises. If you somehow stumbled upon this, walk and don't run to see him. You won't regret it. And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me, I may be slow in responding, but I will respond eventually. You'll see from my posting history I've been posting since 2008 on and off!

8 Yrs. and 3 Kids Later. Finally Getting Married and Boobs,

I'm 23 yrs. old and have 3 boys. 7,3 and 1. I always wanted boobs for as long as I can remember. I was a 32 A/AA. After my last son, my boobs got a smidge bigger, but not much. I've been with my fiance since I was 15. Finally in Nov. he proposed to me in front of all our friends. We set the date for Sept. 6, 2014. I knew that I needed boobs to wear with my dress. So I scrambled around thinking of what to do. I thought the perfect time was around Christmas week. My fiance has off for 2 weeks and that way he can help watch the kids and my oldest doesn't have school. Now the problem was, where am I going to get the money. One day, my soon to be MIL called me after I had a dinner date saying she hit the jackpot at the casino. That her and my soon to be FIL will split the cost of my BA. I was so excited. I scheduled a consultation right away and set the date. I came to the office with knowing what I wanted. I came out with a whole different view. First thing I did was have a consultation with Dr.Solomon. At first, he's very arrogant and might seem rude. But its only because it's for your best interest. He asked me first, how old is my baby and who will take care of him since I can't lift for over 1 month. Then he said since I dont take birth control. The the day of the procedure if I'm pregnant, he's going to put my implants in a box and send them home with me. Afterwards, we went into the exam room. I told him I was worried about the gap and the fake look. After he did my measurements he said he has 2 options. He told me my nipples stick up a little higher than average. First option is theres the implant where its wider and you wont have a gap, but my nipples would stick straight up and he doesn't like that. Second option is that he can do the implant that sticks out more, but I'll have a slight gap. However, my nipples stay the same and he thinks thats the best choice. I told him do whats best because hes the expert. Next, we went into the room with all the implants. He chose 3 implants which he thought is good for my size. I'm 5'1 - 118 lbs. I ended up going with 350 cc. I originally picked Saline, but after feeling silicone I couldnt make up my mind. I put my deposit down and left stressing if my implant choice was too big or if I wanted to do silicone or saline. My fiance said if I do silicone he'll put up the 1k for me and thats my christmas gift. I decided to ask a good amount of friends that went to Dr. Solomon and I had both opinions on Silicone and Saline and I was still stuck. Dec.12 was pre-op day. I finally made my decision to go with Saline. I got remeasured and made sure the implant size so he could order. He gave me my prescriptions and I was off to get them done the next week. The day of, I washed my body with Hibiclens which is what surgeons use to wash their arms and hands before surgery to reduce bacteria. I put the nausea patch behind my ears. I arrived at 12:30. I told my fiance to take my oldest son to my sisters house for the weekend plus I didnt want him waiting for a few hours. They gave me a pregnancy test hooked up up to the IV. I waited for another half an hr and the DR. came in and took measurements and used the marker to draw all over me. They put antibiotics in my IV and waited a little bit until the OR was ready. When it was time the anesthesiologist came and put the medicine in my IV. All I can remember is getting wheeled back and finally getting into the OR. I looked around while the room was spinning. Then I heard, close your eyes. I woke up and I had boobs. I was on the way home and slept. The pain wasnt bad, I was just very sore. The next morning I could barely move. I needed help to go pee or do anything. I'm not sure why, but the meds made me so tired. I would sleep for 12-13 hrs straight. Wake up for a few mins and go back to sleep for a few more hours. This continued on for over a week. I stopped taking meds on the 2nd day b/c I thought that thats what was causing it. I started to panic. I would have dizzy spells all day long with no meds. I would sit there and the room would spin around. I finally decided to call my dr b/c I thought something was really wrong. He said come in tomorrow and if you're not feeling better call your family doctor. What do you know, a week after that I felt perfect. My boobs at first were very small. Then they gradually got bigger. Some people will tell you the opposite though. I'm 3.5 weeks post op and they have dropped nice. With NO massage. My dr told me no massaging b/c 20+ years of doing it he sees not links to anything. He also told me to shower the next day & that he doesn't know why some drs. dont recommend NOT showering. You want to be clean so to get rid of bacteria.

More Than Happy with my Result - Philadelphia, PA

I have had "man boobs" since I was 12 or 13. At age 36 I was in great shape but despite all my hard work I still was self conscious of my chest. After much research I decided on Dr. Solomon to do my gynecomastia surgery. He was very straight forward and thorough in consultation, and I was informed and confident going into the surgery. The results were amazing ! He and his staff couldn't have taken better care of me. Dr Solomon gave me realistic expectations and and my results exceeded them. Always available to answer questions and concerns (which were plentiful) my experience was more than positive. Updated on 30 Jun 2013: Just felt compelled to update my review. I am thrilled with my results and my small scars have faded to nothing. Last February my wife went to Dr.Solomon for a breast lift. She had a similar experience and we are both more than happy with her result. Both of us have renewed confidence. I again felt well informed and very well taken care of. I have referred 3 friends to him and all have had excellent results.

Severe Swelling 18 Months Post Op. - Philadelphia

18 months post op. I still have severe swelling, pain daily 8 out of 10. Have sought guidance from 3 specialists so far, without a solid answer. Dr. Solomon has no interest in further assistance despite my last visit indicating continued problems. I feel discouraged and not sure where to turn. Ofcourse you are told the risks involved, and ofcourse I signed my life away... BUT... my issues are NOT related to the actual chosen surgery (my incision site is healed, but specialists are starting to predict that it was HOW the surgery was done. I may have pinched nerves, tendon issues, and may have to take medication the rest of my life. I AM 28 years old. This is NOT fair. The worst part of all this is 2 weeks post OP, I KNEW something was wrong, and brought it to Dr attention every visit, but he kept assuring me full recovery took ONE YEAR. He also had a terrible way of conveying his information, and talked me down off my concerns raised every time. I would walk out of his office frustrated but hopeful that 'he was right'. again, 18 months later, NOT THE CASE... and I DO NOT wish this on anyone... PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH and make sure the Dr you choose validates your concerns, and presents as caring from your initial consultation.

Tummy Tuck Scheduled - Philadelphia, PA

I am new to this sight but reading every day for a week or so. I am getting my TT with breast implant replacement in May. I am a 37 year old mom of 3 kids - 15,6,4. Since my first baby at age 21, my belly was ruined. I had badly stretched skin and an ugly herniated belly button. As a young woman I was never ever able to wear a bikini. I have been an avid runner my whole life and was never able to show my mid-section during races on hot days. It was always a source of embarrassment. I would get jealous of friends who had perfectly smoothe bellies after pregnancy. After my #3 baby, my stomach was not only wrinkly, but I had recti diastis. Belly bulges out more and more as the day progresses. I would lool like 4 months pregnant at night. I had to cut out gas causing foods and pasta, breads to prevent this from getting bad. I also believe that my separataed ab muscles are causing my IBS. I get really gassy and distended. I believe that my intestines are falling out of place, causing all kinds of intestinal problems. Gastro won't confirm the link, but I just know it. I am nervous about the surgery. I am worried about a giant scar. I will be checking this site daily to read about other's TT expereinces.Updated on 3 May 2013:Sorry about the sideways pics? I can't figure out why that is happenind. Anyway, these pics clearly show the skin damage. I was bloated in the other pic so the skin wasn't so saggy. It's so embarrassing. Surgery is May 15. I am nervous about the procedure, the healing time, and the pain. But I have been putting it off all this time and now there is no turning back.
