Amazing Doctor, Amazing Staff

Dr. Brackup is not only a A* doctor, but also has an incredible bedside manner. He is skilled, knowledgeable, AND makes you feel so comfortable. I never felt rushed and he answered all my questions. His staff is by far the nicest and most helpful group I have ever worked with. I cannot wait to have my next procedure done. Thank you, Dr. Brackup and staff!

10 days out, very little discomfort

I was tired of looking tired. It seemed like my lower face was melting off into my neck. After interviewing multiple doctors I decided on Dr Brackup. He is phenomenal. 10 days out, very little discomfort.

64, phenomenal Hetter Peel result! Many years erased from my face

I highly recommend Alan B. Brackup, M.D. in Langhorne, PA for any cosmetic surgery procedure. After years of sun, smoking, fighting breast cancer with chemotherapy and dramatic weight loss, my 64-year-old skin looked 10 years older than it should. Having done my research, Dr. Brackup was highly recommended for the procedure I needed. When I arrived for the consultation, the entire staff was...

Dr Brackup and Staff Are First Rate!

I'm now about seven weeks post surgery and I am thrilled with the results of my deep plane facelift.  After turning 60, it became clear that fillers were an ineffective waste of money to treat worsening jowls and sagging.  Tired of a losing battle with gravity, and feeling much younger than I was looking, I turned to Dr. Brackup after research on this site and others, and after meeting the do...

Q: How to fix hooded eyes? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. BrackupMarch 7, 2024

A: Upper eyelid surgery (also called blepharoplasty) is designed to remove unsightly excess skin from the upper eyelids and to re-contour the shape of the eyes for a younger appearance.

Q: Age 32, what procedure would correct the puffiness and shadows under my eyes? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. BrackupMarch 7, 2024

A: If you always look tired or you can't get rid of the puffy bags below your eyes, a lower eyelid lift, also known as a blepharoplasty, may help to refresh your appearance. In the lower lids, recontouring mainly involves finding a solution for the bulging fat causing the lower lids to look puffy and removing excess skin. The other suggestion would be to go back to the person who did your filler and have them dissolve some of it. I have seen instances where old filler holds on to water and can cause under eye puffiness.

Q: What is the average length of time a surgeon should honor a facelift price quote? Are Instagram surgeons driving pricing up?
Answered by Dr. BrackupOctober 19, 2020

A: Most of the time your quote should have a timeframe on it. In addition to increased costs all over, as you age there is simply "more work to be done". I honor quotes and will typically extend my quoted fee if there was a reason someone couldn't follow up with surgery. Hope this helps.

Q: What skin problems can be addressed with an lPL photofacial? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. BrackupAugust 10, 2020

A: Great question-- Sometimes these lasers and procedures can be so confusing. Firstly- there are a ton of different lasers on the market and no two (IPL's) are the same. The IPL laser in our office is used to treat brown spots and red veins/vessels. It feels like a hot rubber band snapping. When you leave you are red and swollen, sometimes bruised if you have a lot of red vessels. Over a few days dark brown spots will appear and flake off. I have never recommended the IPL for wrinkles or pores. Hope this helps.

Q: Under-eye hollow and shadow on very thin face. Will laser/CO2 tightening help?
Answered by Dr. BrackupAugust 10, 2020

A: Thank you for your photo and question. My first thought is fillers or surgery. You mentioned the Co2 laser vs fat grafting. I would lean more towards fat. The laser will tighten skin- but laxity is not an issue for you. You need to either remove the bag or fill the hollow. Hope this helps.
