Dr. Jerry Darm, MD has over 20 years of experience providing the best in aesthetic medicine to patients in the Lake Oswego and greater Portland, Oregon area. He is recognized for his expertise and skill performing a variety of procedures, especially liposuction and laser skin tightening. Dr. Darm received his MD at Oregon Health and Science University, where he studied emergency medicine (a specialty in which he is board certified). He opened his current private practice, Aesthetic Medicine Physicians and Surgeons, in 1995. He initially focused on providing services to patients looking to achieve weight loss and a more contoured physique through body sculpting, but has since expanded to a broad range of cosmetic treatments. Dr. Zawacki, a family practice board certified physician, has performed over 10,000 procedures at Aesthetic Medicine. She graduated from Western State University of Colorado, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and received her M.D. from Saba University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She has worked in the Aesthetic Industry for twelve years in Washington and Oregon performing cosmetic procedures like Laser Liposuction, Botox, Fillers, Sclerotherapy, and VNUS closure procedures. She joined Aesthetic Medicine in 2009.

Joelle was my injector for my botox. She was friendly and listened to my concerns regarding my specific facial quirks. We all have those….right? Lol. A: Laser Liposuction is able to tackle a significant amount of fat and our LipoLift™ procedure would be a great option for you. LipoLift is our trademarked laser-assisted liposuction procedure (laser lipolysis) that removes fat from the body. This minimally invasive surgical procedure melts” fat with less pain, less downtime, and consistently favorable results. The laser is inserted through a very tiny incision in the skin and passed back and forth slowly dissolving fat and fat cells. The liquified fat is then gently removed through a micro-cannula. In one session, one to four liters of fat can be removed! We've done over 10,000 of these procedures. You can do the LipoLift on a Friday and be back to work on a Monday with only a day of downtime.

A: Our minimally invasive MiniFaceLift procedure would be a great option for you to achieve permanent skin tightening on your neck and lower face using bi-polar radio frequency technology with very little pain and downtime. With this procedure, you could do it before OR after the weight loss and it would treat the lower face and neck at the same time. Since the loose skin sticks to the muscle, having it before or after wouldn't matter. There are no sutures, and only a day of downtime with permanent results. You can do this procedure on a Friday and be back to work on a Monday. With this procedure you can achieve incredible results without invasive surgery at a fraction of the cost.
A: Based on the height and weight you provided and calculating your BMI, you would be a good candidate for laser liposuction.
As long as you don't have any of the medical contraindications that would prevent you from being a candidate, we would recommend the following areas for laser liposuction: abs, bra bulge, and flanks (sides). For our LipoLift™ procedure, a big part of the result is wearing the compression garment that we provide following your procedure. We recommend complying with all of the post-procedure protocols to ensure maximum results!
A: Due to the laxity and collagen you still have being only 38, I would recommend Morpheus as your best option. At your age, there is no need for a neck lift or surgical procedure. Morpheus works great to tighten the skin and help with overall texture and we have gotten amazing results on our patients with it!
A: Here at Aesthetic medicine we use laser assisted liposuction. The laser assisted liposuction we perform is safer than traditional liposuction as there is no general anesthesia involved (where you are put to sleep). The laser assisted liposuction uses tumescent anesthesia and an oral anti-anxiety medication. Tumescent anesthesia includes a numbing solution inserted under your skin into the fatty tissue. You are awake during the procedure, are able to go home the same day and back to work in as little as 2 days.
