The answer... is possibly. It all depends on the type of crown and the type of cement used. If the crown feels higher than your other teeth, or it starts to feel loose and/or "rock" you need to go back in and have he or she look at it.&nbsp;

I was nauseous that day because I hadn't eaten and was uncomfortable. I had a lot of saliva in my mouth during the sealing of a new crown, furthest back lower molar. Dentist had to use cotton balls. Could this have affected the quality of the seal?

IPR basically aids in the movement of your teeth. By removing &lt;0.5mm from a tooth, it can move dramatically faster. Most patients do not and will not ever notice that the IPR has been done, except that it makes it easier to floss. It will not stop your Invisalign treatment from working, but it might prolong the case.&nbsp; Good luck!

I was offered invisalign for correction of an overbite and for alignment of lower incisors that required 4 buttons on the top and 1 button on the bottom as well as IPR of all 4 incisors on the top and 3 on the bottom. I would prefer not to shave the teeth and now have been offered Invisalign using the same button placement but no IPR. Can it achieve the same goal without IPR?

Ask your dentist if they can adjust the tray in order to help with this "protrusion" issue. But, honestly, you'll only be wearing the trays a short while, so think of it like a temporary discomfort for a worthwhile result! :) Good luck!!!&nbsp;

I'm on my 12th tray and it's been about a week. It makes my front teeth kind of stick out, and as a result my mouth looks all puffy like a monkey or something. I'm exaggerating here a little so you get my point. I've tried the chewies because I thin it's sticking out because there's space between my teeth and the invisalign but it has barely made a difference. What should I do?

It's definitely possible that Invisalign will correct the gumminess of your smile; however, if the end result isn't exactly what you want, you can always do crown lengthening. Ask you dentist about this and other procedures! Good luck!!! :)

I had a appointment with a orthodontist and he told me that I'm qualified for invaslign. However I have a problem with gummy smile especially and have minor problems with my the alignment of my teeth such as my second biggest problem of bringing down my canine teeth. Even though my orthodontists said I'm qualified I'm nervous if it'll actually go away or not. In a few weeks I'll get my first pair of Invisalign. I hope they work!

It is probably to push that tooth back in order to correct your bite. Have you asked your dentist about this? Good luck!!! :)

I recently received invisalign. All of my trays for one specific tooth has an indention in it. I have 9 brackets so I know what they are and it's not that. This is actually a line that is invented across the top part of my front tooth. My tooth doesn't have this indention do I have no reason why it is there. Is this normal? It's only across one of my front tooth but on every tray and is noticeable so it bothers me. It isn't protrude like the holes for the brackets, this one actually indents.

Is this a defect? If so, will they replace my trays?

Based on your photo, I can see many things you can do to improve your smile. Crest White Strips are good, however, the percentage of whitening agent allowable for retail use isn't as significant as what you can expect to receive at a dental office. For example, I'm pretty sure the Crest White Strips are 9.5% and I dispense 35% to all my patients for their whitening treatments. With regards to your crowding, I believe you could definitely be a candidate for Invisalign or traditional braces. I hope this helps! Good luck!&nbsp;

As you can see by the picture, the ones I hate the most are the two giant, chunky teeth at the front. They are the reason why I smile with my mouth closed. I tried Crest White Strips to improve the look but my smile still looks horrible.
