Dr Merrill is in a class of providers that is a rarity, in my opinion. I trust Dr Merrill and his staff in a way I never have when it comes to care. Which is why, when it was time to replace 8 old veneers I knew it was Dr Merrill who I entrusted with this process. I mean a smile is the one thing people see always! The process from start to finish was perfect. He and the staff took me through in a way where I was able to live with temporaries for a few weeks and then we were able to have discussions on color, shape, how I talked (my older ones made my S sounds sound like I had a lisp and the veneers were rather rough feeling). By the time we got to the day, it was absolutely a perfect fit for me and I'm not ashamed to say I shed some happy tears. I also have my pronunciation of my S sounds back to normal! Dr Merrill is gifted, kind and the people in his practice reflect that goodness of treating you as a person not just a body in a chair. This took 10 years off of me. I am in my mid 50's but I don't look that way thanks to you Dr Merrill!

I had been thinking about getting veneers for a few years but was hesitant because of the cost. I knew this was an investment in myself and I couldn't be happier with my decision to go through with it. I went to Dr. Merrill for a consultation and immediately he and his wife Natalie put me at ease. Dr. Merrill took the time to get to know me and to understand that I wanted a natural looking but beautiful smile. My smile used to be my best feature but many years of grinding changed all that. The change was so gradual that I didn't even realize it. I thought it was just the aging process. Dr. Merrill's process of creating your smile ensures that you will have a beautiful smile that will be exactly what you want and one that will last for a very long time. He doesn't just put veneers on you and sends you on your way. His process involves at least 6 visits to ensure the aesthetics and the mechanics work for you. I wore temporaries for about a month and even his temporaries are beautiful. Any issues that need to be addressed will be addressed. Only then will the porcelain veneers be created and then permanently put on. If you have been thinking about getting veneers don't hesitate to see Dr. Merrill. I could not be more happy with the new smile I got from Dr. Merrill! I had veneers and crowns done for my whole mouth and the results are amazing. Over the last ten years, I have felt more and more self-conscious about my smile. A life-time of grinding my teeth, and drinking diet coke and coffee had left me with greying teeth that were short and always chipping. Additionally, I was missing a tooth since birth resulting in a gaps on my lower teeth. I finally decided it was time to do something about it and started looking online for a cosmetic dentist. Dr. Merrill and his wife Natalie are co-owners of Northwest Dentistry, and both are a delight. Dr. Merrill created two models of my teeth, one showing my teeth in their state at the time, and another showing what my new teeth would look like fully restored. He was able to show me how my bite was misaligned, and explained that it was the source of much of my grinding, and said without correcting my bite first, any cosmetic veneers or restorations would ultimately fail. After meeting with Doctor Merrill, and consulting with two additional dentists, my husband and I decided that the obvious choice was Dr. Merrill. His detail plan to fix all the problems with my teeth made the most sense. I am so happy with my teeth now. Not only are they beautiful, but my bite feels so comfortable. Having had a very complex dental history for a number of years, I have been treated and, unfortunately, sometimes mistreated, by many dentists. I was extremely lucky when Dr. Merrill assumed my dental care. He evaluated the issues that I had been dealing with for years, and completed a full dental restoration, correcting many of the problems which I had been plagued with through the years, and which had been overlooked and/or simply covered up by other dentists. In addition, Dr. Merrill’s restoration gave me a whiter, brighter smile. He changed the size and shape of my teeth to suit my face, and the color that he chose is so perfect for my complexion. I smile all the time now, and I’m always receiving complements on my smile. It’s unbelievable how much more confidence that I have now than I had before. Dr. Merrill is an extensively trained and highly skilled dentist who can deliver the most comprehensive and complex Cosmetic, Reconstructive and Restorative Dentistry Procedures that may be needed. Many years ago I cracked my front teeth while biting my nails. I was in the process of relocating from New Hampshire to North Carolina and I was very nervous about leaving my home town. I went to my dentist up in New Hampshire and he just said to me "ready for you new smile?" and shaved down all my front teeth. I was mortified! I never went back to a dentist again! Years later I was working in a hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina and we were just about to start a procedure on a patient when she smiled at me, I took a step back and said to her “WOW! How did you get you teeth to look like that? The patient said “my very best dentist Dr. Merrill with NorthStar Dentistry for adults” Just before we put her to sleep for her procedure I asked her for his phone number. The next day I had off I called Dr. Merrill’s office and made an appointment. I must tell you that Dr. Merrill changed my life! Ever since my old dentist destroyed my front teeth I never wanted to smile anymore. If I would laugh I would always cover my mouth so people could not see my teeth. I was always so embarrassed about how my teeth looked. It really destroyed my personality. Now after Dr. Merrill’s artistry on my teeth I feel like he gave me my face back. My teeth now look like they used to when I was younger. It is amazing that Dr. Merrill has the ability to change someone’s life in just one visit to his office. I am 67 years old. My front teeth were uneven and chipped. My upper teeth had grooves at the gum line that had been filled by my former dentist, but they were not the same color as my teeth and kept coming out. Finally my teeth were stained by years of coffee drinking. During a 3 hour appointment, Dr. Merrill evened up my teeth, removed all the unsightly fillings and bonded over 12 front teeth. Now I am not afraid to smile. Since then, he has replaced 2 failed crowns and now we are working on straightening the lower teeth with Invisaligns.

Dr. Merrill and his staff--Natalie--and the rest of the professionals practicing at NorthStar are THE BEST! I had porcelain veneers (about 8 or 9) done. Dr. Merrill doesn't do a computer image of what you'll look like; he puts actuall model teeth in your mouth so you can gauge what you'll really look like. So cool! Took about 6 or 7 visits to finish whole procedure. (It's been a year, so I'm not exact on the visits.) But, each one was not only easy and practical, it was fun, too! I use him as my regular dentist now. He'll also work with you until you're happy with the shape and length of your teeth until you feel comfortable and happy. Highly, highly recommended!!
