I wanted to take my time before writing a review so that I could provide details about the entire process, including recovery. I am now five months post-op and hope that this review proves useful for anyone considering using Dr. Neal Goldberg for cosmetic surgery. If you a TLDR person, let me give you the punchline… DEFINITELY GO WITH DR. GOLDBERG!!! Now, for the people who want more information…I work in healthcare so believe that I can provide an honest opinion about everything from professionalness during consultation, to touchup of scars post-op. I am also a person who by all accounts is extremely well education and therefore asked easily 100+ questions, so can comment on bedside manner. Again, TLDR, 5 stars across the board. I had major work done: Gynecomastia surgery with excessive fat located to the sides, abdominal liposuction, flank (love handle) liposuction, and liposuction under my chin. What was my experience? 1. Consult was extremely professional, where we covered what I have a slight bleeding disorder, so extra care would be necessary in planning pre-op procedures. We discussed what I hoped to achieve, what my plan was for not putting additional weight on, and we discussed the steps of the procedure as they relate to competing liposuction techniques. This was an area where my OCD to know every aspect of what would be done to my body caused me to ask dozens of questions. A consult normally takes 20 minutes. He was with me over an hour. He grasped how detail oriented I am and carefully explained everything. At the conclusion of the consultation, he gave me a quote. Let me take a moment to talk about the cost. I met with several surgeons using various liposuction techniques and in all instances, no matter how many areas I wished to work on, Dr. Goldberg was less expense. TALK ABOUT VALUE FOR MONEY. Shop around and you will see just how great his pricing is. Also, don’t expect him to try to sell you on procedures. He even tried to talk me out of doing my chin because he thought the value proposition was worse than my other areas of interest, though he understood I still desired to do the area. 2. Once I booked my procedure, I sat down with his staff (Who are amazing…especially Colleen) and reviewed all pre-op requirements, including the fact that he wanted to speak with my PCP to create a plan to handle my bleeding issues pre/during/post procedure. 3. On the day of the procedure the entire staff was great about checking everything and making me feel comfortable. The surgery went well, and he even managed to liposuction more fat than we originally anticipated (HUGE WIN IN MY MIND!!!) without creating any unsightly body contours. 4. Because I had the bleeding issue, he requested I come in the next morning prior to his next scheduled surgery. While not normal, he wanted to look at all the wounds/drains because I am an unusual case. Everything looked good and I was able to recoup over the next week. 5. On my return visit, everything looked extremely good and I could already see the significant changes in my physique. (I was very pleased). Note that I did have a lot of bruising, partly because of the extensive work I had done, and partly because I am a bleeder. When we removed my drains, he noted that in 5-6 months he was going to want to do a local anesthetic, cutting, and re-stitching of the two locations where I had drains because the top had healed down and the bottom had been held open, so it wasn’t as clean a scar as he would have liked. 6. While I was healing, I constantly had questions about the sensations I was experiencing while the nerves were regenerating. I would email them to Colleen and I would either receive a response email or a call within the day. Dr. Goldberg really understood how I approached the surgery, and his bedside manner was nothing short of exceptional. 7. Fast forward 2 months, on my follow-up visit he decided he wanted to bring down two of my scars by injecting a small amount of steroid to break up the scar tissue. He really was a perfectionist and I greatly appreciated it. Within a few days those scars were completely flat. 8. In my final visit, 5 months post-op, he performed the re-stitching of the two locations where I had drains. They look super clean and are smooth to the touch. The man is an artist. Having the surgery was one of the best decisions of my life. If I ever need more work done, I am calling Dr. Goldberg first. I’m unbelievably pleased with the outcome and hope that this review of Dr. Goldberg helps at least one person with their cosmetic procedure decision.

I must say, that I don't normally write reviews but just like i read the reviews here to know more about Dr. Goldberg, I feel like you should also know my experience., I was very nervous as I'm sure you are about choosing the BEST surgeon for yourself. I was having a tummy tuck with Lipo as well as a breast reduction. I met Dr. Goldberg in May along with other surgeons, and Thank God that I went with my gut and chose Dr. Goldberg. He made me look absolutely Amazing!! In one of the Reviews that I read about him, someone described him as "creating a masterpiece on your body with his hands", and That is exactly what he did!. The surgery was a success and the pain discomfort was very minimal BTW, THAT was one of my fears having to go through agonizing pain during recovery (As i heard those horror stories before) or looking like Frankenstein once everything was over. In all honesty, I took the pain meds for only a week and felt like i was fine without it. The amount of care and respect that Dr. Goldberg puts into taking care of your body during surgery and post op is unmatchable. So PLEASE if you are like me, and are really serious about taking this step into making a BETTER YOU, Let me save you some trips to other surgeons and book your surgery with Dr. Goldberg. His staff Michelle and Colleen were also extraordinary. Collen was always available for any questions or concerns that I had and his entire staff was just so professional. I can not say enough positive things about this team and Dr. Goldberg. Please see my before and after pictures. I am only 5 weeks post-op and still looking better and better weekly. My scars have diminished a great deal as well as the swelling. Thanks to Dr. Goldberg, This 45 year old is ready to enjoy her summer with a Great bathing suit!!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Goldberg and his staff. Dr. Goldberg is professional and very detailed. He told me exactly what to expect and he was spot on. His staff is warm, kind and very welcoming; especially Colleen! I am very happy with my results and will definitely go to Dr. Goldberg if I decide on another procedure in the future!

I seriously cannot thank Dr. Goldberg and his staff enough!!! They were consistently professional, kind, and helpful from the entire process from start to finish. I was a complicated patient for various reasons and he and his staff (especially Colleen!) really went out of their way to make my surgery happen under significant time restraints. Laura and Alex were also very helpful and kind whenever I interacted with them. I also felt that Dr. Goldberg was very transparent and honest with me about my surgery, which I appreciated because I asked a ton of questions. I am thrilled with the results of my procedure and would absolutely recommend.

I had an Otoplasty procedure over 15 years ago with another Dr. and had never been happy with the results. I finally decided to pursue the procedure again and had a few consultations. I appreciated the time Dr Goldberg spent to answer my questions, explain his planned technique and alleviate my concerns, being that I’d had an unsuccessful procedure previously. Dr Goldberg and his team were friendly and responsive through the process of consultations and procedure. Dr Goldberg scheduled plenty of time for the procedure itself and took his time, even showing me my ears during the surgery to make sure I was satisfied. I am very happy with the results, my ears look great and natural, and I am now able to wear my hair up confidently which feels really good!

Exceptional surgeon in every way. Dr. Goldberg is very skilled. His surgical skills are quite impressive. This comes from someone that has had more than one cosmetic procedure in Manhattan with very expensive surgeons. Dr. Goldberg, on the other hand, will ensure you leave the office feeling confident about your procedure. He will ensure you get the best possible results with the least amount of pain or downtime. I had several procedures with him done on the same day, both of which are supposed to be painful. Believe it or not, absolutely NO pain. He is always prompt, caring, compassionate and a good listener. Answers all questions to my satisfaction. Makes me feel comfortable discussing difficult topics. His office staff is not only knowledgeable but also prompt to return calls and e-mails as well. They also answer all my questions and make me feel comfortable. They try to find that appointment date and time that works for me even when they have to call me later to schedule. As a team, they contribute to what I would consider the ideal consultation, pre-op and post-op experience. At the hospital, he has an equally exceptional surgical team, from the nurses to the anesthesia team. I highly recommend Dr. Goldberg and his teams in both settings, office and hospital. I will be sending family and friends his way.

I had liposuction on my abdomen, flanks and back three weeks ago. The procedure was done with general anesthesia, therefore, I don't remember anything. I had a choice, but I was too nervous. So I chose general anesthesia. I still have some swollen areas and some pain. I can see contour on my back and flanks, but not so much on my abs yet. Still heavily swollen and hardness. I am still wearing the provided compression garment. Although, the doctor suggested that I wear it for two weeks only, I am still wearing it. I feel strange without it. I am using silicone gel tape to get rid off the incision marks. They are very tiny. I didn't experience any bleeding or severe pain. I went back to work 6 days later. Sitting down was very difficult. Three months from now, I will be able to write a more honest review of my results. Since I am still swollen, it is hard to tell.

Dr. Goldberg and his staff are amazing. I went to about 5 different consultations for a revised rhinoplasty and I automatically felt comfortable when I went to his consultation. . Dr. Goldberg was very knowledgeable and helpful with my numerous questions. I could not be more happy with my results, thank you SO much Dr. Goldberg!!!

Had a wonderful experience with Dr Goldberg so comfortable with the way I was treated. Cant wait to see progress of my bl with implants. With every penny. I have always been afraid of this but so glad I went thru with this procedure .
